Job summary

Carnation Infotech Pvt Ltd. seeks a Cloud/Automation Engineer with strong IBM MQ and OpenShift/Kubernetes expertise. You will implement and manage MQ infrastructure, containerized HA, and GitOps pipelines using ArgoCD and Kustomize.

Proficiency in Ansible, Vault, and automation scripting (Python) is essential for end-to-end tooling and incident resolution. The role emphasizes collaboration across teams, securing certificates, and maintaining robust CI/CD workflows in a modern container platform.

Qualifications

• Must-have IBM MQ with queue managers, HA concepts, channels and MQSC.
• Demonstrated experience with IBM MQ Operator, airgap/mirror, private registry, multi-region CRR/DR management.
• Production experience with Ansible and AAP (job templates, credentials, surveys, execution model).
• Hands-on OpenShift/Kubernetes day-2 operations: namespaces, SA/RBAC, Secrets, Jobs, operators, Routes.
• GitOps proficiency with ArgoCD and Kustomize.
• Vault skills: KV, AppRole, K8s auth, CLM and certificate lifecycle tooling (Venafi or similar).
• Comfort with Git, shell, and Python for automation tooling.

Must Have Skills:

• 1. Strong IBM MQ (queue managers, HA concepts, channels, security, MQSC).
• 2. NativeHA on containers is a major plus. IBM MQ Operator airgap/mirror, private registry, Multi-region CRR / DR role management.
• 3. Production Ansible + AAP (job templates, credentials, surveys, execution model)
• 4. OpenShift/Kubernetes day-2: namespaces, SA/RBAC, Secrets, Jobs, operators, Routes
• 5. GitOps with ArgoCD and Kustomize
• 6. Vault (KV, AppRole, K8s auth) and enterprise certificate lifecycle (Venafi or similar CLM)
• 7. Comfortable with Git, shell, and Python for automation tooling
• 8. End-to-end troubleshooting across automation Git cluster MQ secrets

Nice to have:

• 1. Vault Enterprise namespaces/zones, Auth policies
• 2. Splunk / Prometheus / OpenTelemetry for middleware
• 3. LDAP/AD integration patterns on OpenShift
• 4. IBM ACE, Kafka/Strimzi, MQIPT, RDQM, channel exits
• 5. Mentoring and standards ownership across teams
