Job summary

Hitachi Vantara Corporation in India seeks a Production Supervisor to lead a manufacturing line, ensuring timely, cost-efficient transformation of parts into Hitachi products while maintaining safety and quality standards.

You will organize resources, plan capacity, monitor schedules, and drive improvements using 5S, Lean, RCA, and CAPA. A BE/DEE in Electrical Engineering and fluent English are required.

Qualifications

• BE / DEE in Electrical Engineering (required).
• 4-6 years of supervision experience in manufacturing.
• Transformer manufacturing or similar product experience.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Organize and allocate resources to meet line production targets.
• Lead capacity planning and resource optimization for the assigned unit or line.
• Ensure production scheduling meets volume requirements per demand plan.
• Identify and implement equipment and facility improvements as needed.

The opportunity

Lead a team within a production unit or line in the execution of production processes to transform parts and raw materials into Hitachi products in a timely, cost-effective manner. Ensure continuous and efficient operation in accordance with volumes, schedules, procedures, drawings, and quality and safety standards and policies.

How you'll make an impact

• Organizes and allocates resources to effectively and efficiently meet line production targets. Responds to resource issues as necessary. Leads capacity planning and resource optimization for the assigned unit or line.

• Ensures that production scheduling and production plan meets the volume requirements agreed in the demand plan and defined inventory service levels.

• Identifies and recommends technical equipment and facility improvements as necessary.

• Ensures execution of volume, conforming product, and on-time delivery targets for the assigned production lines.

• Identifies deficiencies in production area, proposes improvement activities, and oversees implementation of actions to improve production performance.

• Must be aware of 5S', Lean manufacturing basics, RCA & CAPA.

• Manages the resolution of critical product or equipment issues together with relevant internal teams.

• Ensures (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Guides, motivates and develops direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies.

• Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
