Hitachi, Ltd. is seeking a production supervisor to lead a team on a manufacturing line in India. You will organize resources, plan capacity, and ensure schedules meet demand while targeting on‑time delivery and quality standards.
The role requires 4–6 years of manufacturing supervision experience, transformer experience, and fluent English. You will drive improvements and uphold safety and integrity across the production unit.
Lead a team within a production unit or line in the execution of production processes to transform parts and raw materials into Hitachi products in a timely, cost-effective manner. Ensure continuous and efficient operation in accordance with volumes, schedules, procedures, drawings, and quality and safety standards and policies.
Organizes and allocates resources to effectively and efficiently meet line production targets. Responds to resource issues as necessary. Leads capacity planning and resource optimization for the assigned unit or line.
Ensures that production scheduling and production plan meets the volume requirements agreed in the demand plan and defined inventory service levels.
Identifies and recommends technical equipment and facility improvements as necessary.
Ensures execution of volume, conforming product, and on‑time delivery targets for the assigned production lines.
Identifies deficiencies in production area, proposes improvement activities, and oversees implementation of actions to improve production
performance. Must be aware of 5’S’, Lean manufacturing basics, RCA & CAPA.
Manages the resolution of critical product or equipment issues together with relevant internal teams.
Ensures (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Guides, motivates and develops direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies.
Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

BE / DEE (Electrical Engineer)
4–6 years in supervision activities of manufacturing
Transformer manufacturing or any other similar product.
Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
