Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily production activities and ensure adherence to production plans and targets.
• Monitor shop-floor operations to achieve productivity, quality, and delivery objectives.
• Allocate work to operators and optimize manpower, machinery, and materials.
• Ensure SOPs, work instructions and quality standards are followed.
• Monitor production processes and identify opportunities to minimize rejection, rework, and wastage.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Stores, and Planning departments to resolve issues.
• Maintain production records, shift reports, and daily output reports.
• Implement 5S practices and maintain housekeeping on the shop floor.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and PPE usage.
• Identify bottlenecks and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Train operators to improve productivity, quality, and safety.
• Report production deviations and equipment issues to the reporting manager.

Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and result-oriented Production Supervisor to oversee day-to-day production activities at our Khalapur facility. The candidate will be responsible for managing shop-floor operations, ensuring production targets are achieved, maintaining quality and safety standards, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth and efficient manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily production activities and ensure adherence to production plans and targets.
• Monitor shop-floor operations to achieve productivity, quality, and delivery objectives.
• Allocate work to operators and ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials.
• Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and quality standards.
• Monitor production processes and identify opportunities to minimize rejection, rework, and wastage.
• Coordinate with the Quality, Maintenance, Stores, and Planning departments to resolve production-related issues.
• Ensure proper maintenance of production records, shift reports, and daily output reports.
• Implement 5S practices and maintain housekeeping standards on the shop floor.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety procedures and the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Identify process bottlenecks and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Train and guide operators to improve productivity, quality, and adherence to safety practices.
• Report production deviations, equipment breakdowns, and operational challenges to the reporting manager.

Educational Qualification

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Production, or a related engineering discipline.
• Relevant technical qualifications may be considered based on experience.

Experience

• 3–6 years of experience in production supervision within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Experience in shop-floor management, manpower handling, production planning, and quality control is preferred.
