Job summary

ABB Nashik is seeking a production lead to drive a line within the Electrification Distribution Solutions Division. You will ensure timely transformation of parts into ABB products, manage resources, and uphold quality and safety standards daily.

You will oversee scheduling, capacity management and continuous improvement initiatives, including Six Sigma, 6S and Kaizen, while coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet production targets.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial Engineering (full-time).
• 3–5 years hands-on experience in production planning, capacity management and manufacturing per specs.
• Proven ability to handle manpower and optimize resources, up to 30 people on the line.
• Strong background in Six Sigma, 6S and Kaizen with data-driven decision making using SAP/BI.

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead a team within a Production unit or line to execute production processes, transforming parts and raw materials into ABB products in a timely and cost-effective manner. Each day, you will ensure continuous and efficient operation in accordance with volumes, schedules, procedures, drawings, and quality and safety standards and policies. You will also showcase your expertise by organizing and allocating resources to meet line production targets effectively and efficiently.

This role is contributing to the Electrification business in Distribution Solution division at Nashik, India.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Ensuring that production scheduling and production plan meet the volume requirements agreed upon in the demand plan and defined inventory service levels.
• Recommending technical equipment and facility improvements as necessary.
• Identifying deficiencies in production area, proposing improvement activities, and overseeing implementation of actions to improve production performance.
• Managing the resolution of critical product or equipment issues together with relevant internal teams.

Qualifications for the role

Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial Engineering (should be full-time)

Minimum 3 to 5 years of hands‑on experience in production planning, capacity management, and manufacturing as per specifications.

Proven ability to handle manpower and optimize resources, managing up to 30 people on the production line.

Strong background in Six Sigma, 6S, and Kaizen, with a track record of driving a culture of improvement.

Proficient in SAP, Power BI, and Power Automate, with knowledge of digitalization tools for data‑driven decision‑making.
