ABB Nashik is seeking an industrial engineering professional to optimize assembly methods, improve productivity, and reduce costs while ensuring safety and quality. You will define working phase sequences for new processes and support equipment start-up, working with cross‑functional teams.
The role emphasizes Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and data-driven performance monitoring (OEE, cycle time, throughput) to deliver targeted production results in the Nashik region.

This Position reports to:
Operations Manager
In this role, you will have the opportunity to optimize the Production organization’s assembly methods, processes, and equipment to minimize labor hours in accordance with business strategies related to quality, efficiency, costs, and safety. Each day, you will ensure appropriate production methods, cycle time, equipment performance, and materials/components in support of production targets. You will also showcase your expertise by defining the working phase sequence of a new production process to achieve the targeted product cost and equipment investment budget.

Identifying and recommending improvement opportunities and implements improvement projects, ensuring adherence to timeframe, quality, and cost requirements.
Approving the design for processes developed internally or externally and performing final tests with respect to the project.
Providing support to Production during the internal/external process/equipment start-up, defining action plans and training relevant maintenance and production resources.
Evaluating new process technologies to improve productivity, quality, and cost reduction, defining and leading testing activities, approval criteria, and external provider choices.
You are highly skilled in manufacturing process optimization, Lean Manufacturing, WCM, continuous improvement, line balancing, takt-time optimization, and waste elimination within a manufacturing/industrial environment.
You have 5 to 8 Years experience in Industrial Engineering / Manufacturing Operations, with hands‑on exposure to process improvement, capacity planning, productivity improvement, manufacturing line setup, and industrialization activities.
Possess an enhanced knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Kaizen, time & motion studies, capacity analysis, and manufacturing performance methodologies.
You are highly adept in manufacturing data analysis and performance monitoring, including KPIs such as OEE, productivity, throughput, labor efficiency, capacity utilization, cycle time, and lead time.
You are innovative around problem solving, process optimization, analytical thinking, stakeholder collaboration, and continuous improvement, with the ability to drive sustainable manufacturing improvements.
Have demonstrated track record in plant layout, material flow optimization, production line industrialization, equipment selection, CAPEX initiatives, and greenfield/brownfield manufacturing projects.
Degree in Industrial Engineering/ Production Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Engineering from a reputed university; full-time education is preferred.
You are at ease communicating in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with cross‑functional and global teams.
