Job summary

Element Solutions Inc in Chennai is seeking a reliable Production Operator to support day-to-day chemical manufacturing processes, in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, with emphasis on safety and quality.

You will run reactors, mixers, pumps, monitor parameters, perform in-process checks, handle materials, document activities, and help maintain housekeeping and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Operate production equipment safely (reactors, mixers, pumps) per SOPs.
  • Monitor process parameters (temperature, pressure, flow) for stability.
  • Perform in-process checks, take samples, report deviations.
  • Handle raw materials and finished goods, load/unload, packaging.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas per housekeeping standards.
  • Follow safety protocols, use PPE, and maintain safe workplace.
  • Assist with minor equipment adjustments and report issues to maintenance.
  • Document activities in production logs and shift handovers.

You will be part of a skilled operations team responsible for running production equipment, monitoring processes, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

What will you be doing?
  • Operate production equipment: Safely run reactors, mixers, pumps, and other machinery according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Monitor process parameters: Track temperature, pressure, flow rates, and other key indicators to ensure stable and efficient production.
  • Perform in-process checks: Take samples, conduct basic quality tests, and report any deviations or abnormalities.
  • Handle raw materials and products: Load and unload materials, transfer batches, and package finished goods.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order: Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with housekeeping standards.
  • Follow safety protocols: Use personal protective equipment (PPE), follow chemical handling procedures, and contribute to a safe working environment.
  • Support troubleshooting and maintenance: Assist with minor equipment adjustments and report issues to maintenance teams.
  • Document activities: Accurately complete production logs, batch records, and shift handovers.

  • Physical Fitness: Capable of performing manual tasks, including lifting, standing for extended periods, and working in various environmental conditions.
  • Education & Training: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certifications in chemical processing or manufacturing are a plus.
