Job summary

Britannia Industries Limited is seeking a Production Officer to oversee biscuit manufacturing operations in Barabanki, UP. You will deploy manpower, verify quality parameters, and set process conditions to ensure efficiency and product standards across lines.

Ideal candidates have engineering or food science background, with knowledge of biscuit production, basic IT skills, and strong people management to drive continuous improvement and audits.

Responsibilities

• Deploy right manpower to maximise efficiency and enroll them in payroll for incentives.
• Verify standard procedures for controlling weight, gauge, size, colour and appearance of the product.
• Set process parameters per variety, arrange materials and preparatory items.
• Collect and record data required for TQM; prepare control charts and control the process.
• Maximise output by controlling changeover time, manufacturing defects and downtime below budgeted level.
• Track raw material variances continuously.
• Physically verify CCPS like sieve, metal detector and webs; maintain ISO, HACCP and FCC documentation.
• Check recipes as per STD parameters of variety and preparatory items.
• Set variables like ammonia, SMBS, water and oven profile to meet product quality standards.
• Use materials per manufacturing date and lot number.
• Maintain biscuit grinder room cleanliness and traceability records.
• Focus on root cause analysis and take corrective and preventive actions as per FBC.
• Reduce wastages due to mechanical breakdowns.
• Inspect all areas for hygienic standards.
• Conduct audits such as AIB, ISO, L ( ? ).

Key Responsibilities

• To deploy right manpower at right place to get the maximum efficiency and output and their enrolment in the payroll for incentives.
• Verification of all the standard procedure for controlling wt/guage,size,colour and appearance of product
• Setting the process parameters as per variety , arrange the materials and preparatory items
• To collect and record the different data required for TQM. Prepare control chart and control the process.
• To get the maximum output by controlling change over time,mfg defectives and production down time below the budgeted level
• Continuous tracking of all the raw material variances .
• Physical verification of CCPS like SIEVE,METAL DETECTOR and WEBS up keeping the documents as per requirement by ISO , HAACP AND FCC format
• Recipe check as per STD parameters of variety and preparatory items.
• Proper setting of variables like AMMONIA,S.M.B.S and WATER and OVEN PROFILE to get the desired product meeting the all quality STDS.
• By using materials as per MFG DATE and LOT NO.
• Maintaining the biscuit grinder room by making dust available and its traceability record updation.
• To do more focus on ROOT CAUSE ANALYSIS, take CORRECTIVE,PREVENTIVE ACTION as per F.B.C.
• To reduce all the wastages produce by different mechanical breakdown.
• To check all the areas at hygienically good.
