3iglobal in Chakan, Pune, is seeking a Production Manager/Sr. Manager for its MNC operations. You will lead production planning and control, optimize machine and manpower utilization, and drive on-time delivery across multiple shifts.

You will also oversee quality and process controls, maintenance coordination, and material management, while building team capability and reporting KPIs to ensure cost-effective manufacturing and continuous improvement.

Responsabilidades

• Lead production planning and control; plan machine capacity, manpower, and materials.
• Monitor plan vs. actual, address deviations, reduce WIP and lead times.
• Drive Lean manufacturing, Kaizen and 5S across the shop floor.
• Coordinate with Maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure preventive maintenance.
• Oversee manpower allocation, skill development and material procurement coordination.
• Prepare daily and monthly production reports and MIS, tracking KPIs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Planning & Control (PPC)

• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly production plans based on customer orders and delivery schedules.
• Plan machine capacity, manpower, materials and tooling requirements.
• Monitor planned versus actual production and take corrective action for deviations.
• Control WIP, production lead time and bottlenecks to ensure on-time delivery.

2. Production & Productivity

• Manage daily shop-floor operations and achieve production targets.
• Improve machine utilization, productivity and manufacturing efficiency.
• Reduce downtime, cycle time, rejection, rework and scrap.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen and 5S initiatives.

3. Quality & Process Control

• Ensure compliance with engineering drawings, dimensional tolerances and quality standards.
• Coordinate with Quality to reduce rejection and customer complaints.
• Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and process controls.

4. Maintenance Coordination

• Coordinate with Maintenance to minimize machine breakdowns and downtime.
• Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed.
• Analyze recurring breakdowns and implement corrective actions.

5. Manpower & Material Management

• Plan and allocate manpower according to production requirements.
• Develop employee skills and monitor team performance.
• Coordinate with Purchase and Stores for timely availability of raw materials, tools and consumables.

6. Reporting & Coordination

• Prepare daily and monthly production reports and MIS.
• Track production achievement, machine utilization, downtime, rejection and delivery performance.
• Coordinate with PPC, Quality, Maintenance, Purchase, Stores and Dispatch teams.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive continuous improvement.
