Hire On Corporation in Samba (Jammu & Kashmir) is seeking a Manager/Sr. Manager to oversee API/Chemical production operations.

The role emphasizes safe, timely and compliant manufacturing, handling GLRs, reactors and related equipment while aligning with approved batch records and SOPs. The incumbent will lead production planning, supervise staff, ensure regulatory and safety compliance, manage costs, and drive process improvements to enhance yield and efficiency in a complex chemical plant

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of API/pharma chemical plant experience.
• Experience with glass-lined reactors and related process equipment.
• Ability to plan and execute production according to plans.
• Knowledge of BMRs, SOPs, and process parameters.
• Regulatory compliance and safety focus.
• Budgeting and cost control experience.

Responsabilités

• Plan and execute daily, weekly and monthly production activities aligned with the production plan.
• Supervise safe and efficient operation of GLRs, reactors, glass vessels, blenders, storage tanks and transfer systems.
• Ensure manufacturing activities follow approved BMRs, SOPs and process parameters; coordinate with QA/QC for in-process testing and release.
• Maintain discipline on process control, documentation and traceability; ensure compliance with plant EHS procedures.
• Supervise and guide production staff and contract manpower.
• Identify opportunities to improve process efficiency, yield and productivity.
• Coordinate with Stores for timely material availability and manage inventory controls.
• Collaborate with QA/QC, Maintenance, EHS, Stores and Purchase for smooth operations.

Qualification : B. Tech Chemical /B.Sc. (Chem.)

Compensation : 20 LPA

Notice Period : 3 Month

Experience : 10 - 15 years of relevant experience in API, pharmaceutical intermediates, specialty chemicals or similar chemical manufacturing plants.

Job Purpose: To manage and control day-to-day production operations of the API/Chemical manufacturing plant, ensuring safe, efficient, timely and quality-compliant production as per approved batch processes, SOPs and production plans.

The position will be responsible for operations involving Glass-Lined Reactors (GLRs), Glass Vessels, Reactors, Blenders, Mixing Vessels, Storage Tanks, Centrifuges/Filters, Transfer Systems and associated utility/process equipment.

Key Responsibility:

1. 1. Production Planning & Execution (Plan and execute daily, weekly and monthly production activities in line with the production plan)
2. 2. Process & Equipment Operations ( Supervise safe and efficient operation of:Glass-Lined Reactors (GLRs), SS/MS Reactors, Glass Vessels, Reaction Vessels, Mixing Vessels, Blenders,Storage Tanks , Transfer Pumps & Scrubbers and associated process equipment.)
3. 3. Batch Manufacturing & Documentation (Ensure manufacturing activities are carried out strictly as per approved Batch manufacturing Records (BMRs), SOPs, Work Instructions and Process Parameters.)
4. 4. Ensure compliance with applicable and other regulatory requirements, as applicable to the plant, Maintain strong discipline regarding process control, documentation and traceability, Coordinate with QA/QC for in-process testing and release of batches
5. 5. Safety, Health & Environment (Ensure strict compliance with plant EHS procedures, SOPs, Permit‑to‑Work systems and statutory requirements)
6. 6. Manpower Management (Supervise and guide Production Officers, Executives, Operators, Technicians and contract manpower)
7. 7. Process Improvement & Cost Control (Identify opportunities for improving process efficiency, yield and productivity)
8. 8. Inventory & Material Control ( Coordinate with Stores for timely availability of raw materials, packing materials and process chemicals)
9. 9. Coordination & Reporting ( Coordinate closely with: QA/QC, Maintenance, EHS, Stores, Purchase, and all other departments)
10. 10. Knowledge of 5s, Kaizen and other management tools
11. 11. Organising relevant training sessions
12. 12. Estimate costs and prepare budgets.
