Job summary

Lupin is seeking a senior Production Operations leader for API manufacturing at its Tarapur site. The candidate will drive achievement of production targets while ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. The role requires extensive experience in API pharma manufacturing and strong leadership of supervisors, officers, and operators.

The ideal candidate will oversee daily activities, manage batches, and collaborate with audits and CAPA processes to sustain compliant operations.

Qualifications

• 15-18 years of API pharma manufacturing experience.
• Experience in leading production teams and driving performance.
• Strong understanding of cGMP, EHS, Data Integrity and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and monitor daily API manufacturing activities.
• Adhere to production schedules and monthly output targets.
• Optimize manpower, equipment, and resource utilization.
• Monitor batch manufacturing and ensure compliance with BMR/BPR.
• Support audits by regulatory agencies and customers.
• Investigate deviations, OOS, incidents and implement CAPA.
• Ensure change controls and SOP compliance.
• Promote a strong safety culture across production areas.

Production Operations

• Plan, organize, and monitor daily API manufacturing activities.
• Ensure adherence to production schedules and monthly output targets.
• Optimize utilization of manpower, equipment, and resources.
• Monitor batch manufacturing activities and ensure compliance with approved BMR/BPR.

Compliance & Quality

• Ensure compliance with cGMP, EHS, Data Integrity, and regulatory requirements.
• Support audits by regulatory agencies, customers, and corporate teams.
• Investigate deviations, OOS, incidents, and implement CAPA.

Safety & Environment
