Job Purpose
TheProduction Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing, supervising,and controlling the complete manufacturing process of porcelain mosaicproducts. The role focuses on achieving production targets while maintainingrequired quality standards, controlling costs, improving productivity, andensuring safe manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare daily, weekly, andmonthly production plans according to customer orders and dispatchschedules.
- Monitor the completemanufacturing process, including raw material preparation, mixing,forming, pressing, drying, glazing, firing, sorting, cutting, finishing,and packing.
- Ensure production targetsare achieved within the planned timeline.
- Maintain product quality asper approved specifications and coordinate with the Quality ControlDepartment to reduce defects, breakage, rejection, and wastage.
- Monitor productionefficiency, machine utilization, manpower productivity, and materialconsumption.
- Identify productionbottlenecks and implement corrective and preventive actions for continuousimprovement.
- Coordinate with Maintenancefor preventive and breakdown maintenance of production machinery, kilns,presses, cutting machines, and other equipment.
- Control production costs byreducing material wastage, energy consumption, rework, and unnecessaryovertime.
- Ensure proper utilizationand availability of manpower, machines, raw materials, and productiontools.
- Maintain daily productionreports, rejection reports, downtime records, consumption records, andother production-related documentation.
- Ensure compliance with safetyrules, SOPs, quality systems, and company policies.
- Train, guide, and evaluateproduction supervisors, operators, and workers.
- Coordinate with Planning,Stores, Purchase, Maintenance, Quality, HR, and Dispatch departments forsmooth production operations.
- Investigate major quality orproduction issues and implement corrective actions.
- Drive continuous improvementinitiatives to increase productivity, improve quality, and optimizemanufacturing processes.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Degree in CeramicEngineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a relevantfield.
- Minimum 5–10 years ofexperience in ceramic, porcelain, tile, mosaic, or relatedmanufacturing industries.
- Strong knowledge ofceramic/porcelain production processes and manufacturing equipment.
- Good leadership,problem-solving, planning, and team management skills.
- Knowledge of qualitysystems, safety standards, production reporting, and continuousimprovement practices.
