Job summary

Sage Cosmetic Llp in Mahape, Navi Mumbai is seeking a Production Executive to manage day-to-day production activities, maintain batch timelines and ensure GMP/SOP compliance on the shop floor. You will supervise operators and contract manpower, coordinate with QA/QC and maintenance, and drive efficient use of materials and equipment.

The role requires 3-7 years in a manufacturing/production environment, with preferred experience in paints, cosmetics or personal care.

Qualifications

• 3-7 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing/production plant.
• Experience in Paints, Cosmetics, Color Cosmetics, Personal Care, FMCG, Chemical or Pharmaceutical preferred.
• Graduate/Diploma in Chemical, Production, Chemistry or relevant discipline.
• Strong shop-floor and manpower handling experience.
• Good knowledge of GMP, SOPs, batch manufacturing and production documentation.
• Basic knowledge of MS Excel and ERP systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily production activities as per the production plan and ensure timely completion of batches.
• Handle and monitor batch manufacturing processes including weighing, dispensing, mixing, homogenization, heating/cooling, filling and other processes.
• Ensure production is carried out per SOPs, BMRs and approved process parameters.
• Supervise operators, helpers and contract manpower and allocate resources effectively.
• Monitor manpower productivity, machine utilization, production output and process losses.
• Coordinate with QA/QC, Stores/Warehouse, Planning and Maintenance for smooth production operations.

Reporting To: Production Manager / Plant Head

JOB PURPOSE

To manage day-to-day production activities and ensure production targets, quality standards, batch timelines, GMP/SOP compliance, safety and efficient utilization of manpower and machinery are achieved.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Execute daily production activities as per the production plan and ensure timely completion of batches.
• Handle and monitor batch manufacturing processes including weighing, dispensing, mixing, homogenization, heating/cooling, filling and other relevant processes.
• Ensure production is carried out as per SOPs, Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR) and approved process parameters.
• Supervise operators, helpers and contract manpower and allocate resources effectively.
• Monitor manpower productivity, machine utilization, production output and process losses.
• Coordinate with QA/QC, Stores/Warehouse, Planning and Maintenance for smooth production operations.
• Ensure availability of raw materials, packaging materials, manpower and equipment before production.
• Maintain accurate production records, batch documentation, logbooks and shift handover reports.
• Ensure adherence to GMP, quality, hygiene, safety and housekeeping standards on the shop floor.
• Identify and report process deviations, breakdowns, quality issues and production delays.
• Coordinate with Maintenance for machine breakdowns and preventive maintenance.
• Support initiatives to reduce wastage, rejection, rework and production downtime.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

• 3-7 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing/production plant.
• Experience in Paints, Cosmetics, Color Cosmetics, Personal Care, FMCG, Chemical or Pharmaceutical preferred.
• Graduate/Diploma in Chemical, Production, Chemistry or relevant discipline.
• Strong shop-floor and manpower handling experience.
• Good knowledge of GMP, SOPs, batch manufacturing and production documentation.
• Good coordination, problem-solving and communication skills.Basic knowledge of MS Excel and ERP systems preferred.
