Job summary

Tata Electronics in Karnataka, India, seeks an experienced Production Planning Lead for PCBA manufacturing. You will develop and optimize production plans, schedules, and strategies, balancing capacity, resources, and customer requirements.

Key responsibilities include analyzing production metrics, implementing new technologies, coordinating with procurement, engineering, quality, and project managers, and coaching line leaders to achieve KPI targets such as OEE, FPY, and Scrap rates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field.
• 5+ years experience in Production, Production Planning, PCBA domain.
• Strong understanding of PCBA processes, equipment, and industry standards.
• Proficiency with production planning software and ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Effective cross-functional collaboration and strong communication.

• Coordinate with project managers to align production schedules with timelines and delivery expectations.
• Provide accurate production reports and highlight issues with proposed solutions.
• Collaborate with quality control to maintain high standards of product quality.
• Coordinate, support and coaching of the Line Leader to achieve KPIs (PPM, Scrap Rate, FPY, etc).
• Performs deviation management for safety, quality, productivity, and cost metrics.
• Participates in cross-functional meetings for KPI deviations.

• Monitor and analyze production metrics to identify bottlenecks, optimize resource allocation, and improve overall efficiency.


• Evaluate and implement new technologies and methodologies to enhance PCBA processes, driving continuous improvement initiatives.


• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in PCBA to contribute innovative ideas for process improvement.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, engineering / maintenance, process and quality assurance, to ensure seamless integration of PCBA processes within the overall manufacturing workflow.


• Coordinate with project managers to align production schedules with project timelines and customer delivery expectations.


• Provide accurate and timely reports on production status, highlighting any potential issues and proposing solutions.


• Collaborate with the quality control team to maintain high standards of product quality during the PCBA process.


• Coordination, support and coaching of the Line Leader to achieve the targets for internal production KPI (PPM, Scrap Rate, OEEm, Rejection Rate, FPY, etc)


• Performs deviation management to react on abnormalities of targets for Safety e.g. incidents; Quality e.g. FPY, PPM, Rejection rate; Productivity e.g. OEE, line output; Cost: Scrap


• Participates and generates cross functional meetings in case deviations on KPIs.

Essential Attributes

Education

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field.

Experience

5+ years experience in Production, Production Planning, particularly in the PCBA domain within the Electronics Manufacturing segment.
