Job summary

PeopleStrong seeks an Automation Engineer with 1-2 years of experience to design and deploy automation projects in heavy manufacturing. You will support IoT, digitalisation, and digital transformation efforts and handle commissioning and handover documentation.

You will work on PLC selection, wiring, sensor interfaces, and integration with advanced actuators, while ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech in Electrical or Automation engineering.
• Experience in automation projects in heavy manufacturing.
• Familiarity with IoT, digitalisation and digital transformation.
• Hands-on capability in commissioning and hand-over documentation.

Job Description

Experience: 1-2 Years

Role:

1.Design and development of automation projects in Heavy Manufacturing Industry.

2.Support IoT, Digitalisation and Digital Transformation projects.

4.Commissioning, training, preparation of operational and maintenance manual for hand-over.

Mandatory Skills:

1.EPD: Electrical (LT) Panel Designing & Industrial Panel wiring.

2.Electrical drafting using CAD software.

3.PLC selection, installation, and wiring.

4.Knowledge of various sensors available in market – Positional, Flow, Temperature, Pressure, Level etc

5.Selection and interfacing of actuators like – relays, contactors, solenoid, servo motors/ stepper motors suiting to the application.

6.Selection, installation, wiring, and parameter setting of AC servo drives.

7.Industrial safety and related devices: Human as well as Machine safety devices.

8.Possess know-how of relevant National and International standards.

9.Ability to Troubleshoot problem in challenging shop-floor environment.

10.Good communication and interpersonal & leadership skills, Innovative mindset, time management and project planning / execution skills and basics of estimation and costing

1.Automation and IIoT interfacing using SoC based controllers, SBCs and advanced sensors.

2.Basics of data science, digitalisation, and digital transformation.

3.Knowledge of high-level programming like Python, VB, C# etc.

4.Basics of communication protocols – Modbus (RS-485, TCP/IP) and MQTT

5.Know-how on AI/ML/RPA/API.

6.Vendor development and coordination with vendor for technical assessment & development including legal aspects like IP protection etc.
