Product Release Manager / Scrum Master
Experience: 4 to 6 years
Location: Bengaluru
Employment Type: Full-time
About the Role
We are looking for a smart, dynamic, and highly execution-oriented Product Release Manager / Scrum Master to drive the planning and execution of product releases.
This role will work closely with Product, Engineering, QA, internal business teams, and client teams to ensure that product initiatives and releases are planned effectively, executed smoothly, and delivered on time.
The ideal candidate is someone who takes ownership, follows through relentlessly, is comfortable working with different stakeholders, and gets things closed. You do not necessarily need to be the most technically experienced person in the roombut you should be able to understand the work, ask the right questions, identify dependencies and risks, and ensure that everyone delivers what they have committed to.
This is a highly collaborative and execution-focused role for someone who enjoys making things happen.
Key Responsibilities
1. Release Planning & Execution
- Own the planning and coordination of product releases from requirement readiness through development, QA, UAT, and production release.
- Work with Product and Engineering to break down requirements into actionable tasks, milestones, and release plans.
- Create and maintain release schedules, timelines, dependencies, and milestones.
- Track progress closely and ensure commitments are met.
- Identify delays, dependencies, and bottlenecks early and drive them toward resolution.
- Ensure that release activities are completed within agreed timelines.
2. Drive Engineering & QA Execution
- Work closely with Engineering leads, developers, and QA teams to track execution.
- Understand the high-level technical scope sufficiently to identify dependencies, risks, and potential delivery challenges.
- Conduct regular follow-ups on development and testing activities.
- Ensure defects, blockers, and open points are assigned and driven to closure.
- Escalate issues when required rather than allowing them to remain unresolved.
- Maintain clear visibility of what is done, what is pending, who owns it, and by when it will be completed.
3. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate with Product, Engineering, QA, Design, Support, Sales/Pre-Sales, Operations, and other internal teams as required.
- Ensure all teams are aligned on release scope, timelines, dependencies, and responsibilities.
- Coordinate activities that require inputs or actions from multiple teams.
- Ensure handoffs between teams happen smoothly and on time.
4. Client & Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate with client teams for requirements, clarifications, UAT, feedback, and release readiness.
- Track client dependencies and ensure timely responses/actions from both sides.
- Organize and drive requirement discussions, UAT coordination, issue resolution, and release-related meetings.
- Maintain professional and clear communication with client stakeholders.
- Ensure that client commitments and open action items are actively tracked through closure.
