Responsibilities

• Own and manage the full release lifecycle—from planning to deployment and post-release validation.

• Identify release dependencies, risks, and blockers; drive resolution across teams.
• Manage and optimize Azure DevOps pipelines for build, release, and deployment.
• Implement and maintain automated deployment workflows for multi-environment setups (Dev, QA, UAT, Pre-Prod, Prod).

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Release Manager to oversee andmanage the end-to-end release lifecycle across multiple applications andenvironments. The role involves planning, coordinating, tracking, and executingsoftware releases while ensuring high-quality delivery, minimal downtime, andstrong alignment with development, QA, security, and infrastructure teams.

You will work with cross-functional teams to implement releasegovernance, improve deployment processes, and ensure smooth continuousintegration and delivery in Azure DevOps.

Key Responsibilities

Release Planning & Coordination

• Own and manage thefull release lifecycle-from planning to deployment and post-releasevalidation.
  
• Create and maintainrelease plans, schedules, calendars, and documentation.
  
• Coordinate withdevelopment, QA, operations, product owners, and stakeholders to ensurerelease readiness.
  
• Identify releasedependencies, risks, and blockers; drive resolution across teams.
  
• Manage and optimizeAzure DevOps pipelines (YAML / Classic) for build, release, anddeployment.
  
• Implement andmaintain automated deployment workflows for multi-environment setups (Dev,QA, UAT, Pre-Prod, Prod).
  
• Ensure bestpractices in CI/CD, version control (Git), environment branchingstrategies, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC).
  

Deployment Execution

• Oversee and executedeployments across cloud and on-prem environments.
  
• Ensure compliancewith change management processes (CAB approvals, rollback plans,validation checks).
  
• Perform releasevalidation, smoke testing, and post-deployment verifications.
  

Governance & Process Improvement

• Establish releasegovernance, checklists, templates, and communication processes.
  
• Drive continuousimprovement in release automation, environment stability, and deploymentfrequency.
  
• Monitor release KPIsand report insights (deployment success rate, change failure rate, MTTR,etc.).
  

Stakeholder Communication

• Provide timelycommunication on release status, issues, timelines, and post-releasesummaries.
  
• Facilitate releaseplanning meetings, go/no-go meetings, and retrospectives.
  
• Serve as the pointof contact for all release-related queries.
  

Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications
