Job summary

ModMed Hyderabad is seeking a hands-on Technical Product Owner for Product Analytics & Telemetry to serve as the single source of truth for product performance, adoption, and platform utilization. You’ll work with Databricks, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, WalkMe, and Datadog to quantify Jira initiatives and shape roadmap investments.

You’ll translate complex data into executive decks, drive KPI definitions (DAU/MAU, retention), and partner with engineering to ensure production-ready telemetry.

Qualifications

• 3–6+ years of hands-on experience in Senior Product Analyst, Product Analytics, or Analytics Engineering within a modern SaaS/cloud environment.
• Advanced SQL with complex window functions, CTEs, and semi-structured data handling.

Responsibilities

• Query, blend, and analyze data across Databricks, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, WalkMe, and Datadog to quantify Jira initiatives.
• Architect and maintain Databricks SQL dashboards to track adoption, funnel, feature usage, and retention.
• Map telemetry to Jira initiatives and epics; measure rollout velocity vs adoption metrics.
• Synthesize data into executive presentations that highlight bottlenecks and drive prioritization.
• Define event taxonomies and governance with engineering teams to ensure production-ready telemetry.
• Conduct cohort analyses to uncover behavioral insights and platform optimization opportunities.

Job Description Summary

About the Role We are seeking a hands-on, data-fluent Technical Product Owner – Product Analytics & Telemetry to serve as the single source of truth for our product performance, user adoption, and platform utilization. In this role, you won't just manage a backlog, you will dig directly into complex datasets across Databricks, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, WalkMe, and Datadog to quantify the real-world impact of our Jira initiatives. You will bridge the gap between engineering telemetry, product instrumentation, and business strategy, building the dashboards and executive narratives that dictate our roadmap investments.

Core Responsibilities

• Multi-Source Telemetry Extraction: Query, blend, and analyze data across diverse infrastructure layers—including Databricks Delta Lake, Snowflake, relational databases (PostgreSQL), in-app workflow telemetry (WalkMe), and operational logs (Datadog).


• Lakehouse Dashboards & Visualization: Architect and maintain high-performance Databricks SQL dashboards and visualizations to track cohort adoption, funnel drop-offs, feature utilization, and user retention.


• Initiative Quantification & ROI: Map downstream user telemetry directly back to Jira initiatives and epics. Measure feature rollout velocity against actual adoption metrics to validate product bets.


• Executive Storytelling & Roadmapping: Synthesize raw analytical outputs into structured, executive-level presentations that highlight adoption bottlenecks, quantify platform usage, and drive prioritization.


• Telemetry Governance & Instrumentation: Partner with core engineering and data platform teams to define event taxonomies, tracking specifications, and governance standards, ensuring features launch with production-ready telemetry.


• Exploratory Data Discovery: Conduct proactive cohort and behavioral analyses to discover untapped user behavior, navigation friction, and platform optimization opportunities.

Required Experience & Skills

• 3–6+ years of hands-on experience in Senior Product Analyst, Product Analytics, or Analytics Engineering within a modern SaaS/cloud environment.


• Advanced SQL: Proven mastery of complex SQL (window functions, recursive CTEs, query optimization, handling semi-structured JSON payloads) across relational (PostgreSQL) and distributed data lakehouses (Databricks, Snowflake).


• Cross-System Data Fluency: Practical experience pulling or stitching disparate product data from application logs, clickstream tools, guidance software (WalkMe), and cloud storage (e.g., Azure Blob, S3).


• Databricks Expertise: Strong familiarity working natively within the Databricks ecosystem (Databricks SQL, Lakeview dashboards, Delta tables).


• Product Acumen & Agile Delivery: Solid understanding of modern product management frameworks, Jira project/initiative hierarchies, and KPI definitions (DAU/MAU, activation rates, cohort retention).


• Executive Communication: Exceptional ability to build clean, persuasive decks and clearly present technical findings to non-technical leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

• Educational or applied background in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or Analytics Engineering.


• Working knowledge of PySpark, Python for data manipulation, or dbt.


• Experience operating within cloud ecosystems (Azure or AWS) and understanding Delta Lake architecture.


• Experience defining user event tracking frameworks from scratch (e.g., event naming conventions, schema contracts).
