Job summary

Mphasis is seeking an experienced Product Owner/Program Manager to drive cross-functional initiatives across global teams. You will partner with Risk, Technology, and Operations to design solutions, map processes, and track value delivery from the portfolio.

The role requires 10+ years in Financial or Asset Services, with a strong grasp of risk controls and investment product offerings, and certifications in Scrum/Agile methodologies.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Financial or Asset Services as a program manager or product owner.
• Strong understanding of risk management, controls, and control design frameworks.
• Knowledge of the institutional marketplace, asset classes, and investment product offerings.

Responsibilities

• Own assigned initiatives, managing scope, timelines, dependencies, risks and issues through delivery.
• Track benefits realization and delivery outcomes across the product portfolio.
• Collaborate with Technology, Operations, and Risk teams to ensure successful delivery.
• Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements aligned with stakeholder needs.
• Define, measure, and track KPIs and KRIs across milestones.
• Oversee UAT to confirm solutions meet business requirements and release readiness.
• Coordinate activities across multiple initiatives and stakeholder groups.
• Communicate program status to senior management on a regular basis.

Job description

• Own assigned initiatives, managing scope, timelines, dependencies, risks, and issues through delivery
• Track benefits realization and delivery outcomes across the product portfolio, ensuring initiatives deliver measurable business value and support operational efficiency objectives
• Leverage deep understanding of Agency Lending / Securities Borrowing and Lending (SBL) Collateral Management across multiple asset classes
• Partner with Risk to proactively manage processing risk and embed appropriate controls
• Collaborate with Technology, Operations, and Risk teams to ensure aligned and effective product delivery
• Define business problems and design solutions through detailed process mapping and analysis using tools such as DrawIO
• Assess end‑to‑end processes to reduce manual touchpoints, eliminate bottlenecks, and strengthen controls
• Establish close connections with business partners to assess process and system enhancement opportunities and understand business requirements.
• Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements, ensuring alignment with stakeholder needs
• Define, measure, and track KPIs and KRIs across key milestones
• Manage project plans and milestone delivery to ensure deadlines are clearly defined and met
• Coordinate activities across multiple initiatives and stakeholder groups
• Identify, escalation and resolve risks and issues, driving timely decision‑making and progress to resolution
• Act as a liaison across workstreams to drive alignment on plans, status, and risk reporting
• Oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to confirm solutions meet business requirements and support successful releases
• Support strategic initiatives, technology enhancements, and ad hoc requests
• Promote knowledge sharing and best practice adoption across the Operations user base
• Establish forums for ongoing engagement with stakeholders, acting as the point of contact for product related questions and ongoing collaboration
• Communicate program and project status to senior management and stakeholders on a regular and ad hoc basis

Education & Preferred Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Financial or Asset Services as a program manager or product owner, delivering high‑impact, cross‑functional initiatives across global teams and business units
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Technology, or an equivalent field
• Strong understanding of risk management, controls, and controls design frameworks
• Solid knowledge of the institutional marketplace, asset classes, and investment product offerings
• Professional certifications such as CSPO, PSPO, PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum, Six Sigma, Lean, or Change Management are preferred
