Karta is seeking a founding Product Manager for Voice AI to own the end-to-end voice agent experience, from discovery and strategy to execution and continuous improvement. You will work closely with founders, customers, engineers, and AI researchers to build intelligent, multilingual voice AI agents that perform reliably in real-world conversations.

This hands-on, high-ownership role requires strong product judgment, technical understanding, customer obsession, and the ability to turn ambiguous

We are looking for a Founding Product Manager - Voice AI to own the end-to-end voice agent experience, from product discovery and strategy to execution and continuous improvement. You will work closely with founders, customers, engineers, and AI researchers to build intelligent, natural, and reliable voice AI agents that perform effectively in real-world conversations. This is a hands‑on, high‑ownership role requiring strong product judgment, technical understanding, customer obsession, and the ability to turn ambiguous problems into measurable product improvements.

Responsibilities:

• Own the product strategy, roadmap, and end-to-end execution for Voice AI agents, from problem discovery to production deployment.
• Improve voice experiences by optimizing response latency, interruption handling, turn‑taking, natural speech flow, and multilingual conversations.
• Enhance conversational intelligence, including intent and context understanding, objection handling, memory across turns and sessions, contextual personalization, and conversation recovery.
• Build evaluation frameworks, automated conversation simulations, and monitoring systems to measure agent quality, reliability, and performance.
• Analyze real customer conversations and production data to identify failure patterns, investigate root causes, and drive measurable product improvements.
• Work closely with customers and business stakeholders to identify high‑value use cases, understand pain points, and translate them into product requirements.
• Define and track success metrics such as conversational latency, task completion, resolution rates, conversation quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Create PRDs, feature specifications, and conversational flows while prioritizing features based on customer impact and business outcomes.
• Collaborate with engineering, AI/ML research, and GTM teams to ship reliable product improvements quickly.
• Establish continuous feedback and evaluation loops to improve agent performance and customer outcomes.

Requirements:

• Hands‑on experience with conversational AI, speech systems, Voice AI agents, or real‑time AI products.
• Strong technical understanding of ASR, TTS, speech pipelines, latency optimization, LLMs, tool calling, and agent architectures.
• Strong product judgment and the ability to connect technical improvements with measurable customer and business outcomes.
• Experience analyzing customer conversations, identifying product failures, and translating insights into actionable improvements.
• Ability to define evaluation methodologies, analyze performance data, and make evidence‑based product decisions.
• Strong execution skills, with the ability to take ambiguous problems from discovery to production.
• High ownership and comfort working in an early‑stage environment with evolving processes and roadmaps.
• Excellent collaboration skills to work closely with founders, customers, engineering, and AI research teams.
