PositionTitle: Product Manager – Trade & Forex (TFX) ( Assistant Vice President / VicePresident)

Department: Trade & Forex (TFX) ProductTeam – Head Office

RoleObjective:

Toconceptualize, develop, and manage new Trade and Forex (TFX) product offeringsacross locations, ensuring regulatory compliance and alignment with businessobjectives. The role will focus on driving innovation in trade and forexsolutions, strengthening the bank’s franchise in the TFX domain, and supportingfront-line business teams in increasing transaction volumes and fee-basedincome.

KeyResponsibilities:

• Identify opportunities to designand launch new trade and forex (TFX) products within RBI and internalpolicy guidelines.
  
• Develop and enhance productssuch as Letters of Credit (LCs), Bank Guarantees (BGs), Trade Loans,Inward/Outward Remittances, Structured Trade Finance Solutions, and CapitalAccount Transactions.
  
• Conduct competitor andmarket analysis to benchmark and introduce best-in-class TFX offerings.
  
• Prepare detailed productnotes, process documentation, approval memos, and coordinate with Risk,Compliance, Legal, and Operations for approvals and rollout.
  
• Drive digitization andautomation initiatives to improve efficiency and client experience intrade and forex products.
  

2.Stakeholder Collaboration

• Partner with CorporateBanking, Consumer banking, SME, and Treasury teams to develop tailoredTFX solutions for clients.
  
• Work with Operations,Compliance, IT, and Legal teams for smooth product implementation andprocess alignment.
  
• Liaise with business teamsacross regions to ensure consistent product delivery, training, and support.
  
• Provide product expertiseand guidance to Relationship Managers for deal structuring and customerengagement.
  

3.Compliance, Regulatory & Reporting Oversight

• Ensure strict adherence toall RBI, FEMA, and internal compliance guidelines applicable totrade and forex transactions.
  
• Monitor statutory reportingpendency under EDPMS, IDPMS, FDI, and ECB frameworks and coordinatewith relevant teams for timely regularization.
  
• Support audits, regulatoryinspections, and ensure zero compliance lapses.
  
• Maintain updated knowledgeof regulatory changes and ensure necessary process or policy amendmentsare implemented.
  

4.Business Growth & Revenue Enablement

• Support business units inachieving TFX income and volume targets through new product initiatives.
  
• Track product performancemetrics (volumes, income, utilization) and recommend corrective actions orenhancements.
  
• Contribute to strategicbusiness reviews, annual plans, and revenue forecasts for trade and forexportfolios.
  

5.Process & Customer Experience Enhancement

• Identify bottlenecks inexisting trade and forex processes and drive continuous improvement.
  
• Collaborate with IT anddigital transformation teams to automate manual workflows.
  
• Implement feedback fromclients and business teams to improve turnaround times and servicedelivery.
  
• Number and success of newTFX products launched and scaled.

Requirements

Education:

• Graduate / Postgraduate inCommerce, Economics, or Finance.

Experience:

• 7–14 years of experience in TradeFinance / Forex Product Management / Operations / Compliance within aBank.
  
• Strong understanding of TradeFinance products, FEMA regulations, and RBI reporting requirements.
