Looking for a Product Manager to drive the development and enhancement of its Pre-Trade Risk Management System (RMS), a financial technology solution that enables stockbrokers to manage trading risks in real time.

The role involves translating business requirements and regulatory guidelines into functional product specifications, collaborating with engineering teams, and supporting broker clients in configuring and optimising risk management workflows across multiple market segments.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of Indian capital markets, pre-trade risk controls, and product management, preferably within a financial software product company.

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Strategy and Roadmap

• Define and manage the product roadmap for the Pre-Trade RMS.
• Identify opportunities for product enhancements based on client requirements, market developments, and regulatory changes.
• Ensure the product supports Equity, Futures & Options (F&O), Currency Derivatives, and Commodity segments.

2. Product Development and Risk Controls

• Define functional requirements for pre-trade risk checks, including quantity limits, order value limits, price band validations, and margin checks.
• Prepare product specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria for engineering teams.
• Prioritise the product backlog and oversee feature development, testing, and implementation.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to support system reliability, high availability, and low-latency processing.

3. Client Engagement and Onboarding

• Engage with stockbrokers and sub-brokers to understand business requirements and risk management needs.
• Support client onboarding, product configuration, and implementation of broker-specific risk parameters.
• Coordinate with internal teams to resolve product-related issues and manage client expectations.

4. Regulatory and Compliance Alignment

• Maintain an understanding of relevant SEBI and stock exchange regulations, circulars, and trading frameworks.
• Translate regulatory requirements into functional product specifications in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
• Support timely product updates in response to regulatory and exchange-level changes.

5. Market Research and Product Enhancement

• Monitor developments in the Indian broking and capital markets technology landscape.
• Evaluate evolving requirements related to Margin Trading Facility (MTF), algorithmic trading, and collateral-based risk management.
• Identify product gaps and recommend enhancements to improve functionality, performance, and client value.

6. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with engineering, QA, implementation, and other relevant teams to ensure successful product delivery.
• Track development milestones, resolve functional clarifications, and ensure deliverables meet defined requirements.
• Support product documentation, release planning, and stakeholder communication.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• 45 years of experience in Product Management within the Indian capital markets or financial technology domain.
• Hands-on experience with Pre-Trade Risk Management Systems used by stockbrokers.
• Strong understanding of risk management workflows across Equity/Cash, Derivatives, Currency Derivatives, and Commodity segments.
• Experience translating business requirements into functional specifications and product enhancements.
• Ability to interpret SEBI and stock exchange circulars and translate relevant requirements into software changes.
• Experience in stakeholder management, requirements gathering, and cross-functional product delivery.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Prior experience with a financial software provider or technology vendor serving stockbrokers is highly preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Understanding of API-based risk engines and system integration patterns.
• Familiarity with FIX Protocol, low-latency trading systems, or high-frequency trading (HFT) environments.
• Experience with Margin Trading Facility (MTF), collateral management, and related risk calculations.
• Exposure to broker onboarding, risk parameter configuration, and trading platform integrations.
