Role & responsibilities
Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Product Manager to support the development and commercialization of cutting-edge robotics and industrial automation solutions. This role will focus on managing the entire product lifecycle, gathering customer insights, driving cross-functional collaboration and contributing to the growth of the robotics business line within L&T EPS.

Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Planning
  • Support the development and execution of product strategies and roadmaps in alignment with business goals.
  • Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and voice-of-customer (VoC) to identify emerging opportunities in industrial robotics and automation.
  • Define product requirements, features, and specifications based on customer needs and technological trends.
Product Lifecycle Management
  • Manage end-to-end product lifecycle from concept to launch and post-market support.
  • Coordinate product development timelines with R&D, engineering, manufacturing and supply chain teams.
  • Drive cost, quality, and performance targets for assigned product lines.
Customer & Market Engagement
  • Interface with customers, OEMs, and system integrators to understand applications and deployment scenarios.
  • Provide technical and product guidance during pre-sales engagements, proof-of-concepts and pilots.
  • Gather feedback from customers and translate it into actionable improvements.
Cross-functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with engineering, design, sourcing, and quality teams for successful product development and delivery.
  • Collaborate with marketing and business development teams to position and promote products effectively.
  • Support sales with product presentations, training materials and competitive value propositions.
Innovation & Technology Integration
  • Track latest trends in robotics (Cobots, AI/ML, vision systems, edge computing) and suggest integration into existing or new product platforms.
  • Participate in internal innovation workshops and ideation sessions to contribute to future solutions.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelors or Master’s in Engineering (Robotics, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics).
  • 5+ years of experience in product management or technical program management in robotics, industrial automation or related domains.
  • Understanding of robotics technologies (Cobots, Humanoids, Robotic Arms, Motion Control, Perception Systems, RPA).
  • Experience with tools like ROS, MATLAB, SolidWorks, Jira and PLM systems preferred.
  • Strong project management and communication skills.
  • Analytical mindset with customer-first thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
