Job summary

Jibe Development Services seeks a Product Manager to drive JiBe ERP product lifecycle, from research and planning to launch, working with engineering, marketing, and sales to balance resources for successful releases.

The ideal candidate will translate complex business requirements into detailed specifications, develop use cases, and build a deep understanding of crew accounting needs and maritime domain regulations.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in product-related roles for B2B SaaS products in crew accounting modules/domain.
• Proven experience overseeing all stages of the product development lifecycle.
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into detailed technical specs and flowcharts.
• Excellent communication and public speaking; capable of presenting to internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end product lifecycle for JiBe ERP products, including research, market analysis, roadmap and launch.
• Translate strategy into requirements for prototyping and final development by engineering teams.
• Create strategy documents with business cases, use cases, and technical requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering, product marketing, and sales for development, QA, and releases.
• Develop deep knowledge of designated modules and regulatory requirements; align priorities across teams.

About Jibe

JiBe is a cloud based fully integrated ERP system for the shipping industry. Our goal is to allow shipping companies to improve productivity, efficiency and safety levels, while reducing costs. JiBe ERP enables increased automation and streamlining of processes, creating pre-defined workflows and reducing the usage of email and paper.

Role & responsibilities

• Drive the execution of all product lifecycle processes for JiBe ERP products, including product research, market research, competitive analysis, planning, positioning, roadmap development, requirements development, and product launch
• Translate product strategy into detailed requirements for prototype construction and final product development by engineering teams.
• Create product strategy documents that describe business cases, high-level use cases, technical requirements, and other relevant artifacts.
• Collaborate closely with software engineering, product marketing, and sales teams on the development, QA, and release of products and balance of resources to ensure success for the entire organization.
• Become an expert of your designated modules and serve as a knowledge source, including best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Establish a shared vision by building alignment on priorities leading to product execution.
• Leverage user research, usability studies, market research, experiments and data analysis and translate them into requirements that solve real problems for a large set of users.
• Ensure that product decisions are based on strong logical rigor and in-depth analysis, and value data over opinions
• Expected to develop a deep understanding of our users: their problems, and their needs

Qualifications and Skills

• 4+ years of experience in product-related roles, building customer facing B2B SaaS products for Crew Accounting modules/ domain.
• Proven experience overseeing all elements of the product development life cycle.
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into detailed technical specification documents and flow-charts
• Excellent communication and public speaking skills; ability to present complex ideas to internal & external stakeholders and to influence and inspire people
• Degree in CS, IT, Finance, Accounting, Business management or Marine Engineering

Preferred candidate profile

• Previous experience in the Maritime industry
• Previous experience working or managing in crew accounting department
• Previous software and web development experience
• Previous experience in a Marine ERP product management role
• Previous experience in designing UI and preparing mockups and wireframes
