Codewalla in Chennai is hiring a Product Manager who builds products end-to-end, from identifying a sharp problem to delivering a measurable outcome. You will prototype using AI tools, reason about APIs and data, and work closely with design and engineering teams to ship software that moves metrics.

We seek candidates with 3+ years of product management experience, a strong product sense, and the ability to communicate clearly with global stakeholders.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Identify the core problem behind a request and articulate assumptions clearly.

• Define measurable outcomes before heavy engineering, and plan smallest viable releases.
• Limit PRDs and meetings to improve decision-making and execution.

Job Title: Product Manager — AI-native product builder

Experience: 3+ Years

Employment type: Full-time

Role Overview:

Codewalla is looking for a Product Manager who is becoming a product builder: someone who can move from a messy business problem to evidence, a working prototype, a product decision, shipped software, and a measurable outcome. This is not backlog administration or strategy in isolation; you are expected to get close to the product and help build it.

What we look for:

• Meaningful end-to-end ownership of software products, with strong product sense across problem framing, prioritization, simplification, and trade-offs.
• High agency, curiosity, humility, and strong judgment; willingness to change your mind when evidence changes.
• A builder's instinct: comfort creating prototypes and using modern AI development tools to answer questions yourself.
• Technical fluency to reason about APIs, data, architecture implications, reliability, model behavior, and constraints.
• Evidence-based decision-making using customer research, analytics, operational data, experiments, and product economics.
• Clear writing and communication with global clients and senior stakeholders.

What you will do

• Find the sharp problem behind a request, workflow, or business ambition; make assumptions explicit and challenge the initial solution when evidence points elsewhere.
• Move quickly from discussion to evidence through research, data analysis, interactive prototypes, technical spikes, synthetic scenarios, and small experiments.
• Use AI coding and prototyping tools to explore product behavior yourself and improve collaboration with design and engineering.
• Define measurable customer, operational, and business outcomes before significant engineering investment; shape the smallest responsible release and make trade-offs visible.
• Reduce unnecessary PRDs, meetings, tickets, and handoffs—create only the artifacts that improve decisions and execution.
• Stay involved through implementation, QA/UAT, launch, instrumentation, and post-launch learning; use evidence to decide what to change, continue, or stop.
• Continuously improve how the team builds by experimenting with AI workflows and sharing what works.

Building AI products

• Recognize where AI genuinely changes a workflow or outcome and where conventional software is the better answer.
• Understand model capabilities and limitations well enough to design around what is possible; define evals, test cases, failure taxonomies, quality thresholds, human review, escalation, and feedback loops.
• Treat trust, privacy, security, latency, cost, reliability, and hallucination risk as product constraints—and never confuse a compelling demo with a dependable product.
• Measure AI-enabled work through outcomes such as productivity, cycle time, adoption, conversion, revenue, cost, quality, or risk.
