Job summary

Smart Food Safe in Bengaluru, India seeks a Product Manager to own the strategy, roadmap, and execution of its B2B SaaS platform. You will collaborate with engineering, design, QA, marketing, and sales to deliver scalable features that meet customer needs and drive business value.

The role requires strong product thinking, customer understanding, and the ability to translate requirements into clear features for engineering.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Product Management, preferably in B2B SaaS or technology products.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
• Experience managing B2B SaaS products across discovery through delivery in startup environments.
• Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in Agile/Scrum development processes.
• Experience with product management tools such as Jira, Notion, Confluence, ClickUp or similar.
• Basic understanding of software development concepts including APIs, AI, integrations, and modern web apps.
• Familiarity with product design tools like Figma and collaboration platforms.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; AI SaaS experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with business goals.
• Conduct market research, customer discovery, and competitive analysis to identify opportunities.
• Translate customer needs into PRDs, BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and feature specifications.
• Manage and prioritize the product backlog; support engineering during sprint planning and releases.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, and QA to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
• Track product performance metrics and collect user feedback for continuous improvement.
• Partner with sales, marketing, and functional consultants for GTM strategies.
• Engage with customers and stakeholders to validate ideas and gather insights.
• Maintain Jira or other CRM platforms to support the tech team.

Role Overview:

As a Product Manager, you will drive the strategy, roadmap, and execution of Smart Food Safe’s B2B SaaS platform. You will work closely with engineering, design, QA, marketing, and sales teams to build scalable product solutions that address customer needs and deliver measurable business value.

This role requires strong product thinking, customer understanding, and the ability to translate business requirements into clear product features for engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with business goals.
• Conduct market research, customer discovery, and competitive analysis to identify product opportunities.
• Translate customer needs and business requirements into PRDs, BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and feature specifications.
• Manage and prioritize the product backlog and support engineering teams during sprint planning and product releases.
• Work closely with engineering, design, and QA teams to ensure timely and high-quality product delivery.
• Track product performance metrics and user feedback to continuously improve product features.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and functional consultant teams for product positioning and go-to-market strategies.
• Engage with customers and stakeholders to validate product ideas and gather insights.
• Maintain Jira board or other CRM platforms to support Tech team.

Required Skillset:

• Experience managing B2B SaaS products and product lifecycles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven decision-making approach.
• Ability to work in Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Experience with product management tools such as Jira, Notion, Confluence, ClickUp, or similar tools.
• Basic understanding of software development concepts, including basics of AI, APIs, integrations, and modern web applications.
• Familiarity with product design and collaboration tools such as Figma or similar platforms.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Prior experience working on AI related SaaS Products (Good to have).
