Job summary

Flex in Chennai seeks a Product Engineer - Engineering Change Order Management (ECM) to lead ECO/MCO/ECN processes, manage a 10–15 engineer team, and drive cross-functional improvements across global sites.

You will collaborate with IT on Design & Engineering tools, ensure timely transitions of processes, and generate reports and dashboards while mentoring staff and handling escalations. Night shifts apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in Electronics/Electrical or related field.
• Experience in ECO/MCO/ECN and ECO processes.
• Experience creating setup like product numbers and BOM structure in PLM for new products.
• Experience creating part numbers for BOM in Agile & BAAN.
• Experience creating AVL in Agile & BAAN systems.
• Experience downloading customer documents like product specs and releasing in CDC.
• Work as a Change Analyst during NPI for new changes.
• Release Part List to production for new models after ECO implementation.
• Knowledge of ERP BAAN.
• Proficient in MS Office and MS Outlook.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Night Shift (7pm - 4am).

Responsibilities

• Handle a team of 10-15 engineers.

Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Product Engineer - Engineering Change Order Management (ECM) located in Chennai.

What a typical day looks like:

• Handle a team of 10 - 15 Engineers.
• Efficiently manage ECO / PDM process for manufacturing sites across the globe
• Work closely with IT for Design & Engineering tools
• Conduct flawless transition of processes from sites
• Perform Quarterly / Annual performance appraisals for the team members.
• Ensure adherence to targets set for all Process Metrics
• Ensure timely generation and circulation of reports / dashboards.
• Mentor the team and guide them towards effective discharge of functions.
• Handle escalations if any, and elevate matters requiring the senior management's attention on a timely basis.
• Train new and existing team members on relevant tools or topics.
• Perform root cause analysis to expedite the resolution of service issues.
• Maintain excellent relationship with internal customers at site and with key stakeholders in the organization
• Create and make professional presentations to Management and customers
• Identify, recommend, and implement operational efficiencies to drive continuous improvement
• Lead Lean Six Sigma projects and have your team do the same
• Prepare Customized reports for analyzing and incorporating improvements in processes

Requirements

• Any Bachelor or Master degree in Electronics / Electrical or related field.
• Worked in the Engineering team in a highly variable demand environment managing a team
• Experience in Engineering Change Order Management (ECO/MCO/ECN)
• Experience in creating setup like product Number, BOM Structure in PLM (Product Life Cycle Management) and RP for new Products
• Experience in creating part numbers for BOM in agile & Baan
• Experience in creating AVL in agile & Baan system
• Experience in downloading customer documents like product specifications and releasing same in CDC
• Work as a Change Analysts during NPI for new changes
• Release Part list to production for new models & after implementation of ECOs
• Knowledge of ERP (Preferably BAAN)
• Knowledge of MS office and MS outlook
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Night Shift (7pm - 4am)
