Job summary

Flex in Chennai is seeking an Associate Engineer - Engineering Change Management to support ECO processes, BOM management, and PLM-driven workflows. You will coordinate with site engineering and materials teams on product updates, ensuring timely ECO releases and clear communication with stakeholders.

The role requires 0–2 years in NPI/ECO within manufacturing, strong English communication, and solid MS Office skills. On-site in Chennai with opportunities for growth in EMS processes.

Qualifications

• Diploma or B.Sc in EEE/ECE with 0–2 years' experience in NPI/ECO engineering.
• Experience in NPI and ECO processes.
• BOM management experience.
• Hands-on experience with PLM software linked to ECO.
• Excellent written and spoken English (mandatory).
• Proficient with MS Office and MS Outlook.
• Good analytical, coaching/mentoring, and conflict resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Create part numbers for BOM and AVL in agile Baan.
• Release parts lists to production for new models after ECOs.
• Manage ECOs for manufacturing sites across the globe.
• Use PLM for ECO creation, routing, tracking, and distribution.
• Coordinate ECOs with site Process/Product Engineering teams.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Materials teams on product updates.

Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we re looking to add an Associate Engineer - Engineering Change Management in Chennai.

What a typical day looks like:

• Creating part numbers for BOM in agile Baan Creating AVL in agile Baan system.
• Downloading customer documents like product specifications etc releasing same in CDC Work as a Change Analysts during NPI for new changes.
• Release Part list to production for new models after implementation of ECOs Efficiently managing ECOs for manufacturing sites across the globe Use Agile (PLM) system for ECO (Engineering Change Order) creation, reviewing, routing, tracking, releasing and distribution.
• Study the ECOs / Drawings closely and coordinate with the site Process / Product Engineering team.
• Work closely with Engineering and materials teams to review product updates / modifications.
• Respond to Business Partner (requestor) and customer on queries relating to Engineering Change Orders Ensure adherence to targets set for all Process Metrics.

The experience we re looking to add to our team:

• Diploma or B. SC (EEE/ECE) graduate with (0-2) years of experience as a NPI/ECO Engineer in Manufacturing set up Preferably in EMS Industry.
