About the Role

We are seeking a talented and passionate Product Designer with a background in lighting design to join our team. The ideal candidate should have experience in designing decorative lighting products, a strong understanding of materials and manufacturing processes, and the ability to work closely with fabricators to bring concepts to life.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop innovative decorative lighting products from concept through production.
• Create detailed 2D drawings, 3D models, renders, and production-ready documentation.
• Select and specify suitable materials, finishes, and components based on design intent, functionality, and manufacturability.
• Coordinate with fabricators, vendors, and production teams to ensure accurate execution of designs.
• Develop prototypes and resolve design or manufacturing challenges during product development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and production, to ensure timely project delivery.
• Conduct research on materials, lighting trends, and manufacturing techniques to drive innovation.
• Ensure products meet quality, safety, and performance standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, Lighting Design, Furniture Design, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in product design, preferably in the decorative lighting industry.
• Strong understanding of lighting design principles, materials, fabrication methods, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience working with fabricators and production teams.
• Proficiency in:

• Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.)
• Excellent visualization, detailing, and rendering skills.
• Strong communication and coordination abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in bespoke or custom lighting product development.
• Knowledge of glass, metal, wood, acrylic, stone, and other materials used in decorative lighting.
• Understanding of LED integration, electrical components, and basic lighting standards.
• Strong attention to detail with a passion for design innovation.
