Job summary

More Retail Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a curious, user-focused Product Design Intern to join our design team.

You will help design digital experiences used by millions of customers and thousands of store and supply chain employees, working with product managers, engineers and senior designers to ship real products at scale. This 3–6 month internship offers hands-on experience across product design, user research, and design systems, with a monthly stipend of INR 35,000.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interaction Design, Product Design, HCI, Communication Design, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Design user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI for mobile apps, web apps, and internal tools.
• Support the design of customer-facing experiences across our shopping app, website and loyalty programs.
• Design internal tools used by store, warehouse and operations teams, such as POS, inventory and workforce apps.
• Iterate on designs based on feedback from users, product managers and engineers.
• Assist in conducting user interviews, store visits and usability tests.
• Synthesise research findings into insights and design recommendations.
• Support competitive analysis and benchmarking of design patterns.
• Use and contribute to our design system, including components, patterns and guidelines.
• Ensure consistency in UI, interaction patterns and visual language across products.
• Help document components and design decisions.
• Work with product managers to understand problems, requirements, and business goals.
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure designs are implemented accurately.
• Present design ideas and rationale to the team and stakeholders.
• Stay updated on UX trends, best practices and new design and AI tools.

About the Internship

We are looking for a curious, user-focused Product Design Intern to join our product design team. In this role, you will help design digital experiences used by millions of customers and thousands of store and supply chain employees. You will work closely with product managers, engineers, and senior designers, and get hands-on experience shipping real products at scale.

Duration: 3-6 months

Key Responsibilities

Product Design

• Design user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI for mobile apps, web apps, and internal tools
• Support the design of customer-facing experiences across our shopping app, website and loyalty programs
• Design internal tools used by store, warehouse and operations teams, such as POS, inventory and workforce apps
• Iterate on designs based on feedback from users, product managers and engineers

User Research & Testing

• Assist in conducting user interviews, store visits and usability tests
• Synthesise research findings into insights and design recommendations
• Support competitive analysis and benchmarking of design patterns

Design Systems

• Use and contribute to our design system, including components, patterns and guidelines
• Ensure consistency in UI, interaction patterns and visual language across products
• Help document components and design decisions
• Work with product managers to understand problems, requirements, and business goals
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure designs are implemented accurately
• Present design ideas and rationale to the team and stakeholders
• Stay updated on UX trends, best practices and new design and AI tools
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interaction Design, Product Design, HCI, Communication Design, or a related field
• A portfolio showcasing UX/UI work, including your problem-solving process (academic or personal projects welcome)
• Good understanding of user-centred design principles, information architecture, and interaction design
• Proficiency in Figma, including components, auto layout and prototyping
• Understanding of mobile and web UI patterns and platform guidelines
• Basic knowledge of usability testing and research methods
• Knowledge of motion or micro-interaction tools is a plus
• Basic understanding of HTML/CSS or how designs are built is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Good communication skills and ability to take feedback
