Job summary

Paytm is seeking a Product Analyst to join the product team and drive data-driven decisions across the product lifecycle. You will analyze product performance, user behavior, and key metrics to boost customer experience and growth.

You will work with Product Managers, Engineering, and Design to translate data into actionable insights, build dashboards, and support roadmap prioritization with rigorous analyses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, math, engineering or CS; master's preferred.
• 3–5 years of proven experience in a Product Analyst or analytics role.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and relational databases.
• Strong experience with spreadsheet-based analysis and dashboards.
• Hands-on experience with AI tools for workflows, documentation, data analysis and insight generation.

Responsibilities

• Analyze product performance, user behavior, and feature adoption to identify optimization opportunities
• Define, track, and monitor product KPIs such as engagement, retention, conversion, and growth
• Build and maintain dashboards and reports using spreadsheets, SQL, and BI tools
• Partner with Product Managers to support roadmap prioritization and feature impact analysis
• Conduct funnel, cohort, trend, and root-cause analysis
• Support product launches by defining success metrics and performing post-launch analysis
• Analyze product ratings, reviews, and customer feedback to inform product improvements
• Drive small to medium-scale analytics initiatives end-to-end
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to present insights and recommendations
• Benchmark products against industry trends and best practices

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
• 3-5 years of Proven experience in a Product Analyst or product-focused analytics role
• Strong proficiency in SQL and working with relational databases
• Strong experience with spreadsheet-based analysis and dashboarding (Excel / Google Sheets)
• Hands-on experience in using AI tools or Agentic AI for workflows, documentation, data analysis & generating insight.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data storytelling skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
