Job summary

Brut India in Chennai seeks a talented Producer for our Tamil initiative to create sharp, cultural short-form videos across social platforms. You will pitch ideas, write scripts in Tamil and English, and ensure accuracy through rigorous research.

As an Associate Producer, you will collaborate with editorial and production teams to turn concepts into engaging video stories. Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and a passion for internet culture are essential.

Qualifications

• Fluent in Tamil and English; Hindi would be a plus.
• Strong writing and storytelling skills.
• Experience of 1 to 5 years with a Degree in journalism/ communication will be an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pitch story ideas relevant to Tamil audiences -- from news and culture to lifestyle, internet trends, and people-led stories.
• Write sharp, engaging scripts in Tamil and adapt relevant Brut India stories for Tamil audiences while retaining cultural context.
• Research, fact-check, and ensure accuracy and credibility in every story.
• Follow Tamil digital culture, creators, cinema, music, fashion, and conversations shaping the internet.
• Work closely with the wider editorial and production teams to take stories from idea to final video.
• Use AI and other digital tools to make content production faster and more efficient.
• Stay tuned into digital trends and understand what makes content relevant, engaging, and shareable for Tamil audiences.
