Job Overview

Hitachi Energy is currently looking for a Procurement Business Partners Experienced Professional / Production & Purchase Engineer (Buyer) for the Transformers Business to join their team in Savli, Vadodara, Gujarat, India. This team seeks a skilled and motivated individual.

How you’ll make an impact

Overseeing the procurement Process and coordinating with internal stakeholders, such as Project Management, SCM, Production, Finance, Engineering, Quality and operations, to align procurement activities with business needs.

Prepare and issue purchase orders and ensure material availability in line with manufacturing / project requirements.

Monitoring and tracking orders to ensure on time delivery of Projects.

Supplier On Time Delivery maintains processes to evaluate supplier performance data like delivery, quality, Supplier audit coordinator etc.. to identify opportunities for improvement.

Manage vendor relationships and monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and quality standards.

Coordinate with quality team and evaluate the quality of purchased items and resolve shortcomings.

Expect unfavorable events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies.

Ensures policies, practices and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports, customers, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

The successful candidate for this position has experience in the manufacturing industry and a strong understanding of Production Planning & Procurement concepts.

Should have exposure of basic material planning based on continuous production planning.

Prepare Quarterly / Monthly / Weekly production requirement – material plan & execution activities.

Independently able to handle import & domestic procurement.

Candidate should have core experience of purchase – P2P procurement to Payment process and logistics management of various commodities used in industry.

Knowledge of GST, VAT, custom clearance and other taxations is must.

Good analytical skills with proven experience in cost-cutting / cost-saving activities are desirable.

Must be familiar with ERP S4 HANA / SAP environment and basic experience of tools like lean manufacturing, KANBAN, and VMI.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Sound interpersonal skills, Inventory management and Optimization.

Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background

Minimum 7-10 years of professional work experience in Purchase.
