Job summary

Calderys is seeking a logistics/procurement professional in India to oversee inbound materials and coordination with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs. The role includes handling import documents, coordinating with QC and warehouses for GRN, and maintaining accurate SAP stock records.

The candidate will monitor material availability, support production scheduling, and participate in Kaizen projects to improve processes and housekeeping after tasks are completed.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating inbound shipments of raw materials and packing materials in line with production schedules.
• Liaising with suppliers, freight forwarders and customs agents to ensure on-time delivery.
• Managing import documentation (Bills of Lading, Certificates of Origin, LCs, BGs) and customs clearance.
• Coordinate with warehouses, QC for GRN processing and material inspection.
• Monitor stock levels to avoid stockouts or overstocking; ensure stock taking in SAP matches books.
• Participate in KAIZEN improvements and housekeeping after job completion.
• Allocate manpower and manage contractor/contract workers.

Job description

• Following, respecting & establishing all EHS guidelines, protocols etc in workplace.
• Ensuring 5S at workplace.
• Coordinating with QC teams for Incoming materials inspection and Rejection handling.
• Plan and coordinate Inbound shipments of raw materials/chemicals/packing materials/consumables (domestic and Imported) in line with production schedules.
• Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders and customs agents to ensure on-time delivery.
• Manage all Import documentations (Bill of Lading/ Certificate of origin/ LC/BG, custom clearance papers).
• Coordinate with warehouses/stores/ QC for GRN (goods Receipt Note) processing and Material inspection.
• Ensuring issuance of purchase order as per note sheet and follow up with vendor for vendor registration, ABG etc before place purchase order.
• Ensuring delivery of raw materials/chemicals/packing materials/consumables as per the terms of P.O.
• Ensuring unloading of raw materials/chemicals/packing materials/consumables properly along with proper documents.
• Monitoring of inventory levels of key Raw materials to avoid stockouts or Overstocking.
• Ensuring accurate records in SAP systems stock taking and match with book stock on regular basis.
• Analyse and report on Inbound KPIs (lead time, cost per ton, On-time delivery)
• Ensuring participation in KAIZENS (improvements jobs)
• Ensuring proper housekeeping after job completion
• Allocation of manpower and taking work from contractor/contract workers.
