- Build and own the third-party products and parts catalog for M&U, including part numbers, descriptions, attributes, images, supersessions, and OEM cross-references
- Establish and maintain the approved global third-party supplier list as a single source of truth, including region, capability, and qualification status
- Govern supplier specifications, including drawings, tolerances, material and compliance requirements; maintain version control and link specifications to the correct part and supplier
- Drive specification standardization to enable dual-sourcing
- Maintain supplier master data and the Plan For Every Part, including sourcing supplier, lead time, MOQ, pack/lot size, unit cost, replenishment logic, and inventory strategy for every SKU
- Lead team of intermediate to experienced Procurement professionals, set objectives, and guide others on RFPs, negotiation strategy, cost accountability, and/or program execution
- Manage execution of processes, standards, and operational plans supporting Procurement strategy
- Direct vendor selection and management programs to minimize purchasing costs without compromising quality or supply reliability
- Review price trends and manufacturing processes and recommend changes
- Manage resolution of client issues or problems
- Monitor and coordinate suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries and resolve shortages and missed or late deliveries
- Authorize purchase orders, negotiate prices, and approve payments in large territories
- Review and assess RFPs and bid packages
- Analyze and monitor contract performance for compliance and determine the need for changes
Requirements
- Practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects and tactics within one work area
- Broad knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline, with understanding of the impact of work on other areas of the organization
- University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 12 years prior relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 12 years' experience
