Job description

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Procurement Leader tolead all procurement activities for an international industrial construction project in Ahmedabad. This is a hands-on role, with theexpectation that the selected candidate will initially work independently andlater build and manage a local procurement team as the project scales.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage procurement processes formaterials, services, and subcontractors
• Source and negotiate with localsuppliers and vendors
• Coordinate with manpower supplyagencies for contract labor procurement
• Prepare and evaluate RFQs (Requestfor Quotation) and issue purchase orders
• Handle price negotiations and costanalysis
• Approve and qualify new suppliersand subcontractors
• Manage item codes, purchase entries,and goods receipts in ERP systems
• Ensure timely deliveries and qualitycompliance
• Collaborate with project managers,engineering, and logistics teams
• Maintain accurate procurement documentationand reports
• Lead the development of the procurementteam over time

Hands-on experience in:

• Sheet Metal
• Piping Materials
• Fabrication/Manufacturing rawmaterials
• Experience in engineering /manufacturing industries is compulsory

Requirements

• Proven experience in procurementwithin an industrial contracting or construction company – mandatory

• Experience working with labor contractorsand manpower agencies
• Hands-on experience in issuing purchaseorders, handling quotations, and contract negotiations

• High level of proficiency in English– both verbal and written (must be able to communicate effectively withinternational teams)
