About Our Client

Our client is a global renewable energy IPP and developer with a strong portfolio of solar and energy storage projects across the globe.

Procurement & Sourcing

• Develop and execute procurement strategies for: PV Modules; Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS); Power Conversion Systems (PCS); Inverters, MV Stations
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard global and domestic suppliers.
• Lead RFQs/RFPs, techno-commercial evaluations, and negotiations.
• Ensure competitive pricing, favourable contract terms, and risk mitigation.

Supplier & Contract Management

• Build and maintain strategic relationships with OEMs and EPC vendors.
• Negotiate long-term supply agreements, warranties, and service contracts.
• Monitor supplier performance (quality, delivery, cost, compliance).
• Manage claims, disputes, and vendor risks.

Supply Chain Planning & Logistics

• Plan and manage end-to-end supply chain including: Demand planning; Import/export logistics (especially for modules and batteries)
• Coordinate with logistics partners for shipping, customs clearance, and last-mile delivery.
• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and certifications.

Project Coordination

• Collaborate with engineering, project, and finance teams to align procurement with project timelines.
• Track delivery schedules to ensure on‑time project commissioning.
• Support project budgeting and cost control.

Cost Optimization & Risk Management

• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and value engineering options.
• Manage currency risks, price volatility (e.g., lithium, polysilicon), and supply disruptions.
• Develop contingency sourcing strategies.

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure all procured equipment meets: Technical specifications; Regulatory standards (IEC, UL, BIS, etc.)
• Coordinate inspections, factory audits, and testing.

The Successful Applicant

• B.Tech in Engineering (Mandatory)
• MBA / PGDM in Supply Chain / Procurement (preferred)
• 10-12 years in procurement in Renewable Energy
• Strong experience in solar, BESS, or renewable energy sector
• Proven experience handling PV modules, batteries, PCS, and inverters
• Knowledge of Global solar supply markets (China, Southeast Asia, Europe); Battery technologies (Li-ion, LFP, etc.); Import/export regulations and duties; EPC project lifecycle; Strategic sourcing & negotiation
• Strong understanding of solar & BESS components, Contract management, Supply chain planning & logistics, Vendor management, Risk analysis, ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)
• Excellent communication & stakeholder management
