Job summary

Kirloskar Brothers Limited in Maharashtra is seeking an experienced procurement leader to manage valve bought-out materials. The role focuses on sourcing for gate, check, globe, and other valves, handling large vendor networks and driving supplier performance.

You will engage in negotiations, ensure on-time delivery, and coordinate with internal stakeholders to meet plant requirements while pursuing continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Education in engineering with operations MBA is preferred.
• Strong SAP and Excel skills with procurement experience.
• Experience with bought-out valve commodities and supplier negotiations.
• Ability to manage 15+ vendors and drive cost/quality improvements.

Responsibilities

• Handle 15+ vendors for bought-out valves like gate, check, globe, and ball valves.
• Manage monthly spend of several crores and ensure timely supply.
• Execute commitments, mitigate risks, and drive continuous improvements with suppliers.
• Coordinate with stakeholders for plant material supply and quality improvements.
• Lead supplier performance reviews and negotiate favorable terms.

Skills

• Good knowledge of SAP and MS Excel.
• Good exposure to Fabrication equipment of Machining, Fabrication and Drawing
• Good knowledge of import procurement procedure
• Ability to negotiate with the supplier & finalize the source.
• Good knowledge of processes at KOV Operations
• Having good analytical skills
• Being proactive

Present Roles and Responsibilities

• Handling 15+ Vendors related with Bought out Valves commodities (i.e. Gate Valves, Check Valves, Globe Valves, Ball Valves, KG Valves , NRV, Foot Valves, Wiper Check Valves etc.)
• Average monthly spend for handling the commodity mentioned above is approximate Rs.2+ Cr
• Have ability to execute and deliver on commitment and proactively mitigate them.
• Performing regular performance review with suppliers to drive continuous improvements
• Coordinate with vendors for continuous quality improvement
• Working with all stake holders for better coordination and arranging supply for assigned commodities as per Plant requirements.
• Continuously working on supply relationship management.

• Procurement of bought out material Valves commodities (i.e. Gate Valves, Check Valves, Globe Valves , Ball Valves, KG Valves , NRV, Foot Valves, Wiper Check Valves etc.)
• On time material balancing to achieve daily and weekly production targets.
• Inventory Analysis & action plan to liquidate the un allocated inventory
