Job summary

Adecco India is seeking an experienced procurement professional to manage sourcing, vendor development, and timely procurement of materials for steel fabrication and manufacturing operations. You will handle end-to-end procurement for raw materials, engineering items, hardware and plant requirements, coordinating with production, stores and quality teams.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years in procurement, strong negotiation skills, MS Excel proficiency, and familiarity with ERP/purchase systems;

Qualifications

• Graduate/Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain or a relevant discipline.
• 5–10 years of experience in Procurement / Purchase.
• Experience in steel fabrication, engineering or manufacturing projects is preferred.
• Strong negotiation and vendor-management skills.
• Knowledge of MS Excel and ERP/Purchase systems.

Responsibilities

• Handle end-to-end procurement for raw materials, consumables, engineering items, hardware and plant materials.
• Identify, evaluate and develop reliable suppliers and vendors.
• Obtain quotations, compare offers and negotiate pricing, payment terms and delivery schedules.
• Prepare and process Purchase Orders in accordance with approved requirements.
• Coordinate with Production, Projects, Stores, Quality and Accounts teams for material requirements.
• Ensure timely availability of materials to avoid production delays.
• Monitor supplier performance, delivery commitments and material quality.
• Develop alternate sources and maintain an effective vendor base.
• Track purchase orders and follow up with suppliers for timely deliveries.

• Manage end-to-end procurement activities for raw materials, consumables, engineering items, hardware and other plant requirements.
• Identify, evaluate and develop reliable suppliers and vendors.
• Obtain quotations, compare commercial offers and negotiate pricing, payment terms and delivery schedules.
• Prepare and process Purchase Orders in accordance with approved requirements.
• Coordinate with Production, Projects, Stores, Quality and Accounts teams for material requirements.

Desired Candidate Profile

• 5 - 10 years of experience in Procurement / Purchase, preferably in steel fabrication, engineering, manufacturing, PEB or industrial projects.
• Good knowledge of sourcing, vendor development, purchase processes and commercial negotiations.
• Experience in procurement of steel/raw materials, fabrication consumables, engineering items, hardware and plant materials will be preferred.
• Strong negotiation, communication and vendor-management skills.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and ERP/Purchase systems.
• Candidates who can independently handle procurement activities will be preferred.
• Male candidates preferred.
