Job summary

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of experience in pharma procurement, with strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills. MBA in SCM is preferred.

Qualifications

• Source API raw materials and related chemicals from approved vendors.
• Obtain quotations, compare prices, and negotiate terms with suppliers.
• Generate Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure SAP/ERP processing.
• Coordinate with Production Planning, Stores, QC, QA, and Finance for material needs.
• Monitor inventory levels to avoid production disruptions.

Responsibilities

Position: Procurement Executive

Key Responsibilities

• Source and procure API raw materials, intermediates, solvents, excipients, and chemicals from approved vendors.
• Obtain quotations, compare prices, and negotiate commercial terms with suppliers.
• Generate Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely processing through SAP/ERP.
• Coordinate with Production Planning, Stores, QC, QA, and Finance for material requirements.
• Monitor inventory levels and maintain optimum stock to avoid production disruptions.
• Follow up with vendors for timely delivery and resolve supply chain issues.
• Identify alternate sources and develop new vendors for critical raw materials.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with GMP, regulatory, and company requirements.
• Maintain procurement records, supplier documentation, and contracts.
• Track market trends and raw material price fluctuations to optimize procurement costs.
• Prepare procurement MIS reports, vendor performance reports, and cost-saving analyses.
