Job summary

TOPWERK INDIA based in Bengaluru is seeking a Procurement & Supplier Development Engineer to manage mechanical component sourcing and vendor development for industrial equipment manufacturing.

The role involves developing suppliers, sourcing fabricated structures, machined components, castings, and forgings, and ensuring timely delivery of quality components per engineering requirements.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supplier development in engineering/manufacturing industries.
• Good knowledge of fabrication and welding processes, CNC machining, casting and forging components, and mechanical assemblies.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings; strong negotiation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop suppliers for heavy fabrication, welded assemblies, CNC machined components, casting and forging components, and mechanical assemblies.
• Handle RFQ activities based on drawings, BOM, and technical specifications; analyze quotations and negotiate pricing and delivery terms.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams for supplier requirements and monitor supplier performance.

Role Description

The Procurement Engineer role at TOPWERK INDIA is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. We are looking for a Procurement & Supplier Development Engineer with experience in mechanical component sourcing, vendor development, and subcontracting activities for industrial equipment manufacturing.

The candidate will be responsible for developing suppliers, sourcing fabricated structures, machined components, castings, forgings, and ensuring timely delivery of quality components as per engineering requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and develop suppliers for:
• Heavy fabrication and welded assemblies
• CNC machined components
• Casting components with machining
• Forged components
• Mechanical parts and assemblies
• Evaluate supplier capability, capacity, quality systems, and manufacturing processes.
• Develop new vendors and maintain long-term supplier relationships.
• Conduct supplier visits and support vendor improvement activities.

Procurement & Subcontracting

• Handle RFQ activities based on drawings, BOM, and technical specifications.
• Analyze supplier quotations and prepare cost comparisons.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and commercial terms.
• Coordinate with suppliers from order placement to final delivery.
• Monitor supplier performance for quality, cost, and delivery.

Technical Coordination

• Understand engineering drawings, manufacturing processes, and specifications.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams for supplier requirements.
• Support cost optimization and alternate supplier development.
