Job summary

Principal Financial Group in Pune, Maharashtra, India seeks a Trade Operations professional to manage the full trade lifecycle, settlements, and processing. You will coordinate with custodians, brokers, and internal partners to resolve breaks and ensure timely processing.

The role requires strong Excel skills, analytical detail, and effective communication with business partners and management. 2–4 years of relevant trade/custody experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Strong Employee Benefit, and Trust and Custody knowledge as evidenced by 2-4 years of relevant experience
• Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
• Strong analytical skills and detail oriented.
• Ability to work/communicate effectively with business partners/management

Responsibilities

• Understanding of Trade Lifecycle, Trade Settlement, Trade capture, Trade Processing, Trade Validation
• Coordinate with custodian's brokers and other stakeholders to resolve trade breaks or discrepancies
• Monitor trade settlement status and timely processing of trades as per settlement date
• Interact with both internal and external stakeholders to resolve queries
• Ensure client positions are processed within the agreed timeline
• Work with custodians and brokers for timely matching and settlement
• Resolve failed trade queries
• May engage or lead change initiatives for process improvement/innovation
