CRA designs and manufactures custom-engineered energy and defence systems. You will own process design across our product lines—from sizing through commissioning—and lead the process engineering team on challenging projects.

Responsibilities include developing basis, heat and mass balances, P&IDs, equipment sizing, HAZOP, design reviews, FAT and on-site support. A BE/BTech in Chemical Engineering and 10+ years in process design are expected; travel for FAT and site work required.

Formación

• B.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering; Mechanical engineers with a strong combustion background will be considered.
• 10+ years in process design with an equipment manufacturer, package vendor or EPC.
• Design experience in flares, thermal oxidisers or incinerators, burners, biogas treatment and upgrading, gas compression and conditioning.

Responsabilidades

• Originate the design basis, heat and mass balance, PFD and P&IDs for each project.
• Size equipment, lines and relief devices, and prepare process datasheets for equipment and instruments.
• Carry out combustion, flare sizing and thermal radiation calculations.
• Write control philosophies and cause and effect matrices, working with the E&I team.
• Represent CRA in client HAZOP, SIL and design reviews, and close out actions.
• Support the applications team on sizing, performance guarantees and technical clarifications.
• Check mechanical and E&I deliverables against the process design before release.
• Support FAT, commissioning and performance tests, and troubleshoot on site.
• Develop calculation templates and standard P&IDs for repeat products.

CRA designs and manufactures custom-engineered systems forthe Energy and Defence sectors. We deliver complex projects end-to-end,entirely in-house, combining design, engineering, and manufacturing under oneroof. Our systems are trusted by leading organisations including BrahMosAerospace, ONGC, Indian Air Force, and Schlumberger.

Role Overview

You will own process design across CRA’s product lines:flares, thermal oxidisers, H2S scrubbers, biogas cleaning and upgrading, andgas compression systems. You will take designs from sizing through tocommissioning, and lead and develop the process engineering team.

Requirements

• B.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering; Mechanical engineers with a strongcombustion background will be considered
  
• 10+ years in process design with an equipment manufacturer, packagevendor or EPC, including P&IDs and heat and mass balances you originated
  
• Design experience in at least one of: flares, thermal oxidisers orincinerators, burners, biogas treatment and upgrading, gas compression andconditioning
  
• Working knowledge of API 521, API 537 and ISA 5.1, and of burnermanagement requirements (NFPA 86, EN 746-2 or equivalent)
  
• HAZOP experience as the design owner
  
• Strong hand calculations; HYSYS or similar simulation an advantage
  
• Willing to travelfor FAT and site work.
  

This rolerequires hands-on design origination. Experience limited to relief valvesizing, simulation support or plant operations will not be sufficient.
