Job summary

Olectra Greentech Limited is seeking an experienced Process Engineering professional for Bus Body Shop operations. The role focuses on BOM management, process planning, and line establishment to improve efficiency and quality across manufacturing of bus bodies and panels.

Responsibilities include NPI BOM development, SAP/PLM integration, and lean implementation to optimize layouts and takt time. Candidates should have 5–10 years in automotive/mobility manufacturing with IATF 16949 alignment.

Qualifications

• Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical, Automobile, or Industrial Engineering.
• Experience in BOM management, PLM, and SAP integration for manufacturing.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 45001:2018 standards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create, review, and maintain BOMs in PLM and SAP.
• Support NPI by developing and releasing production-ready BOMs.
• Conduct BOM audits and resolve discrepancies across drawings, CAD, PLM, and SAP.
• Establish and optimize bus body manufacturing and panel lines, including process planning and equipment selection.
• Analyze manufacturing processes and implement Lean and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop and optimize plant layouts, machine placement, operator movement, and material flow.
• Conduct line balancing studies based on takt time, targets and demand.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to improve line efficiency.
• Participate in process validation, capability studies, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure compliance with quality systems and safety standards (IATF 16949, ISO 45001).

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

Educational Qualification

B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.

Preferred Industry Exposure

• Automotive OEMs and Tier-1 automotive suppliers.
• Bus body manufacturing, commercial vehicles, panel lines, and sheet-metal manufacturing.
• Electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing and new product development environments.
