Job summary

Elmex Controls in Vadodara seeks a seasoned Moulding Process Engineer to develop, optimize, and troubleshoot plastic injection, compression, and die-casting processes to ensure consistent quality and efficiency.

You will set up moulding machines, create setup sheets, and collaborate with tooling, quality, and maintenance teams to reduce defects, scrap, and cycle times, while applying SPC, DOE, RCA and leading lean initiatives such as Kaizen, 5S and SMED.

Qualifications

• Experience with plastic injection, compression, or die casting moulding.
• Set up moulding machines and create setup parameters.
• Familiar with ISO 9001 / ISO/TS quality systems.
• Proficient in SPC, DOE, RCA.
• Lean initiatives: Kaizen, 5S, SMED.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot moulding processes to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Set up moulding machines and create setup sheets and parameters.
• Collaborate with tooling, quality, and maintenance teams to reduce defects, scrap, and cycle times.
• Analyse process data and apply SPC, DOE, and RCA.
• Provide technical support during NPI, including tool trials and process validation.
• Lead process improvements and lean manufacturing initiatives (Kaizen, 5S, SMED).
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, ISO/TS quality systems, and environmental regulations.
• Train operators and technicians on process best practices and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of mould design, thermoplastic materials, and process optimization.
• Hands-on experience with moulding machines and auxiliary equipment.
• Proficient in FMEA, 8D analysis.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and documentation.

• Set up moulding machines and related equipment, and create standardized setup sheets and parameters.


• Collaborate with tooling, quality, and maintenance teams to reduce defects, scrap, and cycle times.


• Analyse process data and apply statistical process control (SPC), DOE (Design of Experiments), and root cause analysis (RCA).


• Provide technical support during new product introductions (NPI), including tool trials and process validation.


• Lead process improvements and lean manufacturing initiatives (Kaizen, 5S, SMED, etc.).


• Ensure compliance with safety standards, ISO/TS quality systems, and environmental regulations.


• Train operators and technicians on process best practices and troubleshooting.


• Strong knowledge of mould design, thermoplastic materials, and process optimization.


• Hands-on experience with moulding machines and auxiliary equipment.


• Proficient in problem-solving tools such as FMEA, 8D analysis.


• Familiarity with quality systems (ISO 9001) and documentation.
