Job summary

Aequs in Belagavi, India, is seeking a hands-on Injection Moulding Process Engineer to drive mould trials, optimise process stability, and support daily production targets.

You will work with QA to meet customer quality requirements, manage mould tools, monitor OEE, and implement CAPA while adhering to safety and 5S practices.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of injection moulding processes.
• Scientific moulding knowledge preferred.
• Understanding of plastic materials and polymer behaviour.
• Hands-on experience in mould trials and process setting.
• Knowledge of hot runner and cold runner systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot moulding defects.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mould trials, sampling, and process validation activities.
• Reduce machine downtime, rejection, and cycle time.
• Monitor machine utilization and process efficiency.
• Ensure smooth startup and shutdown of moulding machines.
• Tool & Mold Management and coordination with tool room for maintenance.
• Prepare production and rejection analysis reports.
• Improve productivity, OEE, and process capability.
• Follow 5S and housekeeping practices in the moulding area.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Conduct mould trials, sampling, and process validation activities.


• Ensure process stability and repeatability during mass production.


• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).


• Work with QA team to achieve customer quality requirements


• Production Support


• Support production team in achieving daily production targets.


• Reduce machine downtime, rejection, and cycle time.


• Monitor machine utilization and process efficiency.


• Ensure smooth startup and shutdown of moulding machines.


• Tool & Mold Management


• Coordinate with tool room for mould maintenance and modifications.


• Maintain process sheets, SOPs, trial reports, and machine records.


• Prepare production and rejection analysis reports.


• Support cost reduction initiatives.


• Improve productivity, OEE, and process capability.


• Ensure adherence to safety standards and company policies.


• Follow 5S and housekeeping practices in the moulding area
