Kineco in Goa, India, is seeking a manufacturing engineer to develop and implement manufacturing processes for railway products, and to study drawings, BOMs and customer requirements to define effective production methods.

You will lead time studies, line balancing, PFMEA, control plans and continuous improvement initiatives, collaborating with Production, Quality, Design and NPD teams to ensure smooth industrialization.

Aufgaben

• Develop and implement manufacturing processes, work instructions, process sheets, SOPs and route cards for railway products
• Study engineering drawings, specifications, BOMs and customer requirements to establish suitable manufacturing processes
• Plan and optimize process flow, manpower, machines, tooling, fixtures and cycle time
• Support production of railway coach/body structures, fabricated assemblies, interiors, brackets, panels and other railway components
• Prepare and maintain PFMEA, Control Plans, work instructions and process documentation
• Identify process bottlenecks, improve productivity and reduce cycle time, rejection, rework and manufacturing cost
• Work closely with Production, Quality, Design, NPD, SCM and Maintenance teams for smooth product industrialization
• Support New Product Development (NPD), prototype development and new product/process trials
• Conduct time studies, line balancing and capacity analysis
• Develop and validate jigs, fixtures, tooling and process aids
• Investigate manufacturing issues and implement root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions
• Ensure processes comply with applicable railway/customer quality, safety and manufacturing requirements
• Drive Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Poka-Yoke and continuous improvement initiatives
• Support internal/customer audits and maintain required process records
