Job summary

APA Engineering is seeking a junior Process Engineer to assist in creating and updating PFDs and P&IDs, and to support process calculations and documentation for EPC projects.

The role requires familiarity with AutoCAD and a basic understanding of process equipment, piping systems and related documents. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in Chennai and contribute to project execution while learning company standards and procedures.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in process engineering/design
• Experience in EPC, chemical, pharma, oil & gas, or industrial projects preferred
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD software
• Basic understanding of PFDs, P&IDs, process equipment, piping systems and related docs

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing, developing and updating PFDs and P&IDs.
• Support process calculations, equipment data sheets, line lists and other docs.
• Prepare and modify engineering drawings in AutoCAD per project standards.
• Assist senior process engineers in project execution and documentation.
• Follow project specs, standards and procedures.
• Maintain documentation and revision control; ensure timely task completion.

Role & responsibilities

• Support the preparation of process calculations, equipment data sheets, line lists and other process engineering documents.
• Prepare and modify engineering drawings in AutoCAD as per project drafting standards.
• Assist senior process engineers in project execution and technical documentation.
• Follow project specifications, applicable standards and company procedures.
• Maintain proper documentation and revision control and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.

EXPERIENCE:

• 0 - 2 years' experience in process engineering / process design
• Preferably in EPC, chemical, pharmaceutical, oil & gas or industrial projects
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD software
• Basic understanding of PFDs, PIDs, process equipment, piping systems and process engineering documentation

SKILLS:

• Good spoken English, able to communicate effectively with colleagues, clients and project teams
• Good written communication skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Willingness to learn new engineering tools, standards and processes
