Job summary

Crisil is seeking a finance-focused professional to support its Private Markets Team in Pune. The role centers on monitoring portfolio performance, gathering financial data, and producing insights for the investment group.

Responsibilities include financial reporting, development of valuation models, and preparing internal/external presentations. 1–6 years in private equity or credit with strong Excel/Bloomberg skills is preferred.

Qualifications

• The candidate should hold a Master's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
• 1–6 years of experience in private equity/credit is preferred.
• Strong financial modeling, credit and data analysis skills required.
• Proficiency in interpreting complex financial data and preparing presentations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor financial performance and KPIs of portfolio companies.
• Gather business and financial data on borrowers for investment team use.
• Prepare presentations and write-ups for internal/external meetings.
• Carry out ongoing financial reporting on portfolio companies.

Support the Private Markets Team of a US-based Alternative Asset Manager in portfolio monitoring & surveillance and providing valuable insights

• Monitor financial performance and key performance indicators of portfolio companies
• Gathering business, financial data on borrower companies on a regular basis for consumption by investment team
• Presentation and write-ups support for investment team for internal and external meetings
• Financial reporting on portfolio companies on an ongoing basis
• Research support on an ad-hoc basis in supporting investment team needs in securing new business e.g., market studies and research, market trends,
• Development of standardized info pack for each investment in the portfolio. Monthly management reporting and variance analysis
• Development and maintenance of valuation models for all investments
• Monitor financial performance and key performance indicators of portfolio companies
• News and information search support for existing and potential investments

REQUIREMENTS

• Master’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• 1-6 years of experience in private equity/credit.
• Strong proficiency in financial modeling, credit analysis, and data analysis.
• Demonstrated expertise in assessing credit risk, financial statement analysis, and interpreting complex financial data.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Candidates with a CFA designation or those actively pursuing the CFA program will be given preference.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Bloomberg, and other relevant financial analysis tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting complex financial information effectively.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
