Job summary

Tsaaro, a privacy and security company, is seeking a Privacy Risk Analyst in Bengaluru. You will drive operational privacy risk initiatives, support risk assessments, and implement privacy controls across the organization.

Role requires hands-on experience in privacy risk, compliance, and data protection frameworks, with collaboration across Legal, Tech, and Governance teams. This is a full-time position based in Bengaluru.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Law, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in privacy risk, data protection, or information security.
• Strong knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, LGPD and other regulations.
• Experience with privacy risk assessments and risk management frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Conduct privacy risk assessments for new product developments and initiatives; identify risks and mitigation controls.
• Review RAQs and follow up with stakeholders on control implementation.
• Perform third-party privacy risk assessments with cybersecurity teams; prepare risk reports.
• Support risk owners with guidance on risk treatment strategies (mitigation, avoidance, transfer, or acceptance).
• Monitor and report KRIs and KPIs to stakeholders and committees.
• Collaborate with Legal, Technology, Customer Service, and Data Governance on privacy initiatives.

Our Data Privacy and Information Security team works closely with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance, readiness, and continuous improvement in privacy and security frameworks.

Your Role: Privacy Risk Analyst

As a Privacy Risk Analyst, you will be responsible for driving operational privacy risk initiatives, supporting risk assessments, and ensuring effective implementation of privacy controls across the organization. This is a full-time role suited for professionals with hands‑on experience in privacy risk, compliance, and data protection frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct privacy risk assessments for new product developments and business initiatives, identifying risks and recommending mitigation controls
• Review Risk Assessment Questionnaires (RAQs) and follow up with stakeholders on implementation of recommended controls
• Perform third-party privacy risk assessments in collaboration with cybersecurity teams and prepare risk reports
• Support risk owners with guidance on risk treatment strategies including mitigation, avoidance, transfer, or acceptance
• Monitor and report Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to relevant stakeholders and committees
• Analyze privacy risks at transaction and operational levels, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions
• Track progress of risk remediation plans and evaluate effectiveness of implemented controls
• Contribute to improving privacy risk frameworks, including updating risk registers and assessment methodologies
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams such as Legal, Technology, Customer Service, and Data Governance on privacy initiatives
• Drive awareness and adoption of privacy best practices across business units

Requirements

Mandatory

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Law, or a related field
• 3–5 years of experience in privacy risk, data protection, or information security domains
• Strong understanding of global data protection regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, LGPD, etc.
• Experience in conducting privacy risk assessments and implementing risk management frameworks
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and handle escalations effectively

Preferred

• Certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPT, AIGP, or similar privacy certifications
• Experience working with AI systems from a privacy and security standpoint
• Familiarity with privacy risk tools, audit processes, and governance frameworks
